Remember the old school days when you weren’t ready for the pop quiz and tried to bullshit an answer? That’s pretty much been the extent of the Bush presidency the past four years.
When Bush was questioned this week about tribal sovereignty in the 21st century at a gathering of minority journalists he responded: “Tribal sovereignty means that — it’s sovereign. You’re a — you’ve been given sovereignty, and you’re viewed as a sovereign entity. And, therefore, the relationship between the federal government and tribes is one between sovereign entities.”
