Lexington, Kentucky- Plans for another Hustler Hollywood store along Interstate 75 have hit a snag after a Lexington zoning board rejected a variance that would have allowed construction to begin.
The Lexington Board of Adjustment voted unanimously to reject a zoning change proposed by representatives from the Hustler company. Officials said the Hustler store would be too close to established businesses and would adversely affect those businesses.
Jimmy Flynt, brother of Hustler magazine founder Larry, has said he wanted to build an adult entertainment store next to I-75, just south of Lexington, similar to one he opened in Monroe in 2000.
Flynt said he plans to appeal the zoning ruling to the Fayette County Court.
