NORTH PORT, Florida- – North Port High School ROTC teacher Ronald Barche, 47, was arrested last week for allegedly trying to seduce a 16-year-old girl via cell phone text messages.

According to North Port Police records, the girl said she and Barche had routinely exchanged text messages for an unspecified period and that on July 30, the messages turned sexual.

The girl reportedly sent naked photographs of herself to Barche using her cell phone and Barche propositioned her for sex in text messages.

The girl and her mother showed North Port police Barche’s text messages on Aug. 3.

Barche, who lives in Rotonda West in Charlotte County was arrested at the high school and taken to the Sarasota County Jail.
