VALENCIA, Calif. — Popular adult performer Dana DeArmond selects AIDS/Lifecycle as Girlfriends Films’ April Charity of the Month. AIDS/LifeCycle, which is a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles, raises funds for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center. Girlfriends Films will donate a $1,000 on behalf of Dana to her friend, Nick Youssef, who is participating in the event.

AIDS/LifeCycle is the only AIDS fundraising bicycle event in California organized directly by the non-profit agencies benefiting from the money raised by its participants. Its sole concern is providing critical services to people living with HIV and AIDS.

Contributor support and commitment to this event is pivotal to its success. Volunteer participation and the monies it raises allow the organizations to provide these critical services and education needed to meet the growing needs of the Los Angeles and San Francisco communities.

“Recently I was asked to support someone very close to me in an AIDS/LifeCycle ride, and I was inspired to see how much I could do to make a difference,” states DeArmond.

“I truly admire the sacrifice and commitment it takes to train for such a long bike ride. The amount of time spent on not only physical conditioning and training, but also to the actual fundraising itself, is astronomical.
It is what’s inspired me to do all I can to contribute and to humble myself to be more public about my desire to give back to the causes I so desperately believe in and want to support.”

DeArmond continues, “Girlfriends Films will be joining me in the sponsorship of one rider in this year’s AIDS/LifeCycle event. I am so very grateful to the good people at Girlfriends Films. Not only do they produce an excellent product, but they are kind, generous, honest, and good to more than just the people who support them, but also the people who work with them.”

In addition to performing in dozens of Girlfriends Films popular movies, Dana DeArmond co-hosts the popular talk show “The Kinky & Creepy Show,” available exclusively on www.GFFMembers.com. To watch a montage of Dana’s funniest moments on the show, visit www.tinyurl.com/ShitDanaSays.

Girlfriends Films has a long history of charitable contributions, having donated over $20,000 in 2012. Each month a performer, director, or industry principal is selected as part of the studio’s charity program, and a donation of $1000 is given to a philanthropic organization of their choice. For more information, visit www.girlfriendsfilmscharities.com.

Any Girlfriends Films performers interested in participating may apply by emailing the following information to [email protected]: name, AIP charity of choice, reason(s) for selecting the charity.

Chosen performers will be asked to submit a personal photo depicting the performer engaged with the charity, the charity’s mission, or a similar charitable act. The photo will be used for promotional purposes.
