Arrow’s Robert Interlandi: The Trade Show That Never Ends

Las Vegas- After Courtney Love had long been touted for the role, it was announced a couple of weeks ago that actress Anna Faris would now be playing Linda Lovelace, and in an upcoming biopic.

And there’s been long held rumors that a Deep Throat play was coming to Broadway. But none of this concerns Robert Interlandi right now. Interlandi, who’s director of marketing for Arrow Productions, is at another trade show. And these shows mone on top of another never seem to end. Interlandi, in fact, travels to enough of these expos to have a suitcase named after him.

The current one is the International Lingerie Show which wraps up today in Las Vegas.

“It’s the largest show of its kind,” Interlandi says. “It has all the major people and all the buyers.”

The company that’s licensing Arrow’s T-shirts took a booth and Interlandi is doing the schmooze.

And last week he was at the Expo Mart in Phoenix.

“There we speed-dated the top 40 buyers in the industry with a sit down of 20 minutes [each].

“I showed them all our poroducts and licensed stuff. And it’s cool because they get to see my whole marketing program.”

Then after the Lingerie show, Interlandi’s on another plane for Atlantic City and a show that begins next Monday. That one’s the Bar & Nite Club Convention.

“I’m going to have the Deep Throat Energy drinks there,” Interlandi says. “I’ll be right next to Budweiser and Jose Cuervo. Deep Throat meets Jose Cuervo.”

Interlandi’s sorry he doesn’t have any funny stories to relate as he normally does.

“It’s just been crazy,” he laughs. “Maybe you can say there’s too many damn shows.”
