Deadline Reports that Playboy, from 20th Century Fox TV, Imagine TV and writer/executive producer Chad Hodge, is set at the Playboy Club in Chicago in 1963. It centers on Nick Dalton (Cibrian), described as “the ultimate playboy.” He is an attorney in Chicago and a Keyholder at the glamorous, exclusive club. A fixer who knows how to make problems disappear, he has mysterious ties to the mob.
According to US Magazine Cibrian will replace actor Jeff Hephner, who was originally slated for the role.
Cibrian’s has been unemployed since he last worked on some episodes on NBC’s Chase last year.

Cibrian, the former “Third Watch” star, has won the lead role in the upcoming NBC drama pilot, “Playboy,” Deadline reports. Set in 1963, the show centers on the Chicago Playboy club, one of a number of swank and exclusive dining and social clubs set throughout the country at that time.
Deadline says that Cibrian will play attorney Nick Dalton, a charming yet mysterious man with connections that veer on the illegal.
Cibrian spent two years on “CSI: Miami,” totaling 25 episodes. He also had a two episode stint on the show “The Chase.”
Of course, his name has also been in the news in the last few years due to his personal life; he cheated on and left his wife, Brandi Glanville. He is now engaged to LeAnn Rimes, the singer with whom he had the affair.
Us Weekly recently reported that Rimes and Cibrian are planning a reality show about their upcoming marriage.
