The Canadian government is closing the door on foreigners coming to the country to work in adult entertainment.

That covers strippers, massage parlour workers & escorts.

The change is bundled into crime legislation passed earlier this year & in the massive budget bill before the House of Commons right now.

The changes would mean all existing visas held by foreign-born strippers would be voided, new applications would be denied & people holding “open” work visas couldn’t work in sex-related industries.

Ottawa hands outs some 100 work visas in the adult entertainment industry each year. It isn’t clear how many of them are for workers in Niagara. The region’s strip clubs alone employ hundreds of exotic dancers.

The Adult Entertainment Association of Canada is considering fighting the government’s move. They say stopping the visas will only force women to work illegally.
