from www.huffingtonpost.com – Casey Anthony’s attorney, Jose Baez [pictured], told The Huffington Post he is not involved in any negotiations with Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt.
“I have never spoken or communicated with Hustler magazine in any way shape or form,” Baez said in an exclusive statement to HuffPost Crime.
Last week, Flynt said he had offered Anthony $500,000 to pose naked for his magazine. The porn mogul made the announcement on HLN’s “Nancy Grace” show.
“We made an offer of a half-a-million dollars, but … she would receive 10 percent of [any additional profits], and the reason why I did that is I’m still ambivalent as to how well this will do,” Flynt said.
Flynt did not respond to multiple requests for comment from The Huffington Post.
In related news, TMZ is reporting that Anthony will not be doing any media interviews until she receives professional treatment for mental health issues.
According to the celebrity gossip website, sources close to Anthony told them she is seeking treatment for three reasons:
1. “Casey now realizes that her questionable behavior … stemmed from ‘obvious mental health issues'”
2. “Casey still needs help coping with the ‘obvious trauma of losing her child.'”
3. “Casey spent nearly three years in solitary confinement in a Florida jail … [and] ‘it messed with her head.'”
Once Anthony is healthy, she will consider doing media interviews, TMZ reported.
On July 5, a jury of seven women and five men acquitted Anthony, 25, of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee. The jury did, however, find her guilty of four lesser counts of lying to police officers about the disappearance of her child — a decision she is appealing. Credited with good behavior and time served, Anthony was released from prison on July 17. Her current whereabouts are unknown.
