Porn Valley- On a recent Bridgette Kerkove shoot, www.bkmax.com, I had a chat with the sultry Staci Thorn. Thorn’s been in the business nearly a year and is proud of the fact she won an AVN award for Best group sex scene. “There was roughly 20 people,” she tells me. Thorn notes that other girls in the scene included Arianna Jollee and Venus. “The scene was this crazy, interracial what-the-fuck-ever, a bunch of cute white girls and big black dicks. It was interesting. I think everyone had a piece of everyone.”

Thorn came to California from Wyoming and moved in with her parents to get on her feet. “My step mom is producer for the Playboy Channel,” she explains. “She took me to a couple of shoots and it was intriguing to me. I was interested and I was turned on by the idea that I’d be turning other people on. There was going to be someone home watching me and getting off to it.”

Thorn got through her porn phase around the age of 12. “But I really don’t watch porn.” She laughs about being a bad kid. “At least that’s what they told me. I lost my virginity when I was 13 years old.” And Thorn’s proud of being a slut. “When I say a slut I don’t mean a bad way at all but I was a slut,” she laughs. “It was fun so I figured now I might as well have fun and get paid.”

Thorn lost it to a guy who was only a year older. “It was my neighbor,” she says. “I had a crush on him. I came over to hang out. I kind of planned it. I wanted to throw it into the wind. Am I ready? But I waited about two years for my next sexual relationship.” Asked how that one was, Thorn says, “It got the ball rolling, that’s for sure.” Thorn will do girls on video but not in her private life and describes herself as a homebody.

“It’s funny because sometimes me and my boyfriend will go out and he doesn’t mind me doing whatever with a girl, like, flirting. Whatever. He was coming out of the bathroom this one time when we were at a bar. I’m like making out with this chick. He had a smile on his face. Kind of confused, but. I do things like that for shock value.”

Thorn bears a spider tattoo on her right forearm. “It was an impulsive choice,” she says. “But the more that I think about it, since it’s a black widow..” Picking up on the symbolism I ask Thorn if she’s bad news in the same vein. “I’ve been a bad woman to good men,” she laughs. “But I’m trying to be nice now.”

Asked what evil lies lurking within, Thorn says she’s broken quite a few hearts. Especially when a guy would show interest. “I played that game,” she says of leading guys on. Fucking in a church parking lot is high on her list of memories. “That was more like a shame on me type of situation,” she recalls. “Another time I was at Griffith Park with my boyfriend. We decided to start fooling around. There were some people watching. And there was this bum in the trees sleeping. We knew he was there but we entirely put on a show for him. It was interesting. Another time my boyfriend and I were driving back from San Diego. I started giving him a blowjob while he was driving. That was fun but then it was, like, let’s have sex while we’re driving. I straddled him in the car while he was driving down the 5. There were people looking at us and honking, like, holy shit.”

With all that out of her system, Thorn says she’s settled in her ways. “Casual sex isn’t something I’m into any more,” she states. “That’s what I do on film, but I’ve finally made love. As dark as that sounds! And once you do that I don’t think it’s easy to go back.”

“You sound like you’ve become a romantic,” I tell her. Thorn agrees. “I prefer that more than just dirty, who the fuck are you, fuck me type-thing. Which is what I was into. I think porn did that to me which is actually a good thing, I think.”

Thorn lends the name of Tommy Gunn as the male performer she finds as the “most gorgeous porn star and excellent performer.” Thorn says she and Gunn have a strong connection. “I am very attached,” she states. “But if I was unattached…”

Thorn tells me she was engaged when she came back from the AEE show but that her boyfriend got freaked out by her winning an award. “He was telling me to quit,” she says. “I had this award, and he’s saying you’re going to be doing this forever. So we kind of decided to give things a break. I am still attached but not as serious as it once was. He’s not in the business and he doesn’t understand. Plus he’s like trying to be a rock star.”

“But don’t those two world go hand-in-glove,” I ask Thorn. She thought so, too.

“But thing’s will be just fine, I think.”

What Thorn especially likes about the business is being in a fun atmosphere with what she calls fun people. “I get paid to have fun and be beautiful.” Asked if there was anything she might have done differently, Thorn said, yeah, financially. “I think I would have put a few dollars in the savings account. But I’m working on that now. When you first get into it and get all this money, you’re like, fuck it. This is going to be here for a long time. It still is. It’s always the money. But I would have definitely changed the way I was planning my future.”

Thorn also feels she’s become a better performer as well. “I first started out doing anal scenes,” she notes. “Anal isn’t something you can learn. Someone can’t give you advice and coach you through it. My first couple of months were real tough. I put in 100% at the time but now I’ve learned how to relax. I’ve learned my body. It’s just something that grows on you.”

On the other hand, Thorn’s doesn’t orgasm during anal. “For scenes, I’d prefer doing anal than vaginal,” she says. “It’s just that little ring you got to get past and then fuckin’ anything goes.” Recently Thorn had done three scenes in one day. “It was all vag and then the next day I had a scene and could not do it.
