Porn Valley- I spoke to Tiffany Mynx Wednesday afternoon on the set of Tom Zupko’s shoot for Hustler Video. Mynx is wearing a tight back dress and probably looking better than she ever has. At least that was the general consensus.
I remember the first time I met Mynx which was something like 13 years ago. Mynx remembers the cattle call at World Modeling. I asked her what was going through her head at the time. “I was thinking more competitively,” she said. “Just to get the job, just hoping I would meet directors that would hire me and get me work. When you’re there in an environment like that there’s so many other girls.”
Her reasons for getting in the business were quite simple. “I enjoyed the sex and the money at the time,” she states. “It was paying the bills and better than waiting on tables.” I bring up one of Mynx’s earliest movies The Party. She did an anal scene with Joey Silvera in a limo.
“I remember that,” said Mynx. “And I was the only blond in the movie that didn’t make it on the boxcover. All the other girls were in the picture except for me. But that’s okay.” Mynx’s recall is pretty good because Taylor Wane, Caroline Monroe and Heather Lere managed to get on the boxcover. ”
Mynx is now living in Vegas. Asked what prompted that, Mynx said she fell in love with a fan. “It was somebody at the booth. I asked him to be my date because I didn’t have a date for the awards show.” Mynx explained that he had been going to the shows for the last couple of years. “he gets pictures with all the girls and gives out his card. He asked me who I was going to the show with. I said nobody. I don’t have a date. I said I’ll go with you. I said alright so I took him to the show with me.” Mynx said she moved in with the guy right after AEE. “I haven’t been home since. I’m going to pack up and move the rest of my stuff to Vegas.” I’m telling Mynx to be careful that this is giving porn fans hope. She was of the opinion that this happens all the time. I asked Mynx what the love connection was.
“It’s hard to explain,” she answers. “Because when you’re at the convention like that there’s so many people; there’s so much going on around you. It was the connection. We met up after the show and I felt really comfortable from the first minute. It felt right. It’s hard to believe. It was really cool because it wasn’t somebody in the business. It’s somebody that adores what I do in the business. He wants me to call him after I do a scene and let him know how it went. He gets turned on by the things that I do, then the naughtier and more exciting the sex is at home.”
So I ask Mynx if she banged the guy their first night together. She says no. “Not the first night,” she says. “I waited until the second night. I was good. We had a date every night since I met him.” I ask what she did on the first date. “We just talked,” she said. “We met down in the bar. Everyone was hanging out. We had a couple of drinks. I saw a couple of people. And we just sat and talked. It was kind of the rest of the room was not even there. We were just there conversing between two people, getting to know each other. I was lost with one person. It was really cool. That’s all we did- talk all night. The second night I had to check out the package!”
I asked Mynx if she had the first date jitters. “Yeah, “she says. “I was nervous but I knew he was nervous too. I kind of had a little bit of the power there.” Asked if she gave up the famous Tiffany Mynx bottom right away, Mynx said she made him wait. “Until his birthday. That was only a month later. You’ve got to save something special. But it’s interesting because I’m with a guy that isn’t really into my feet, isn’t really into the ass. He’s a tit man. So it’s a whole new thing for me.”
Because she’s moving to Vegas, Mynx is asked if she’ll be working there in the clubs. “Maybe,” she said. “The thing is the clubs out there don’t have features. I don’t know if I went to go and work with the bad back and the bad knee over the years. I don’t know if I wan to be a house girl and work in some club even if it is Vegas.” Because of her back Mynx has been taking it easy with the dancing. “I wake up wrong and I’m screwed for the day. And there’s nothing they can do about it. They can’t fix you. You deal with the pain. After a day in these shoes it’s a hot bath.”
Mynx was a brat growing up, according to her. “I was a tomboy. I liked to fish and climb trees and ride horseback. I was the oldest in the family and the only girl. Of course I had to pave the way for everybody else. And everything I did was wrong. As the parent’s first kid you have to keep it strict.” But as Mynx hit her teen years, it was all about boys. “Before that I didn’t really care about putting on a dress. I was about making mud pancakes and climbing trees.” Mynx’s first sex experience came at the age of 13. “Then I didn’t have sex again until I was like 15 1/2. The first time was like, eh, okay, whatever. That’s what it’s about? It was a cheap, sleazy kind of thing. I stayed the night at a girlfriend’s house and we were doing a report on trains. I stayed the night and when she went asleep, her older brother snuck in the room. I kind of sucked because I just laid there and didn’t know what to do. I’m sure he wasn’t going to come back for seconds.”
Speaking of trains, I ask Mynx when she first took it in the caboose. She was 18 and 8 months pregnant with her first son. “I thought it was uncomfortable getting into positions and I was kind of worried about the baby getting hurt. All that stuff. So I decided to try it in the backdoor and I liked it. It was just a discovery- wow, this is cool.”
Noting that Mynx had been a contract girl over at Extreme Associates, I asked what was the deal with that.
“I think that I was only able to be a puppet for so long,” she states. “And to go so long struggling without money during that time. We were trying to do our own thing, so money was tight and everything was going back into the company. It was just tough during a time when I was going through a divorce and a custody battle. I just think that the owner of the company liked to jingle the puppets on the strings and the more competitive anguish that he could get going on between contract girls added more excitement for his life.
“I think it became too much,” she continues. “I had had it. I was supposed to go on a trip to Brazil and conveniently my passport kind of disappeared from the house that we were all living in. I’m kind of flipping out over this passport, but I think maybe there were other somebodies that didn’t want me going and made it disappear. I can’t say who because I have no idea with a house full of people. It’s there. It’s now gone. It became one of those things with the circumstances that I couldn’t go because of this passport missing. In other peoples’ minds I was trying to get a contract with somebody else and I didn’t go on purpose, that I made the passport disappear. It was the little things that led up to a parting that needed to happen.”
After the passport incident, Mynx was fired via a phone call. “They called me from Brazil and fired me over the phone,” she says. “They told me to get out of the house and had a couple of guys there to escort me out of the house while they were all out of town.” Mynx went to her mother’s house. “This was like the middle of the night.” Mynx had been going with Van Damage at the time and, according to her, he was in Brazil, as well.
“When he [Van Damage] came back into town from Brazil, they gave him the ultimatum you stay with her or you stay with us,” says Mynx. “He chose to split off and stay with me.” Later on there was a lawsuit for moneys owed. “Van had funded his projects and didn’t get any money back from them,” Mynx states. “We had to go through a fun lawsuit. It was mostly Van. All I did was his projects and just didn’t get paid for a few scenes.”
I also ask Mynx when and why she decided to become a redhead. “I turned 30 and decided it was time for me to do normal female changes,” she says. “And not trying to look the same. I did that for so long and tried keeping with the same look. I decided I want to be me. I changed as I grew older and love me, hate me, accept me, I don’t care.” Mynx is really enjoying life over 30. “I’m a lot smarter than I was in my Twenties and I know these next few years I’m more sexual. I know what I’m doing. I think a lot more about cock than I did ten years ago. Of course after growing up in this business and knowing what turns other people on and what turns me on, it’s become more fun for me to do what I do.”
In a career that’s certainly filled with landmark sexual escapades, I was wondering if there was any one scene that stands out in Mynx’s mind. “No,” she answers. “Because I know I can still go beyond. There is more that I can do. But there have been things that have been very shocking to me.” For instance, Mynx has never done double anal and is not likely to. “I don’t think I will,” she says. “I had a little accident with Erik Everhard a few years back.
