“Debbie Loves Dallas” – The “Alt” Version From Vivid-Alt Director Eon McKai Now In Stores

LOS ANGELES – [E-Mail Wire.com] An “alt-porn” version of the pop culture adult classic “Debbie Does Dallas” from Vivid-Alt director Eon McKai will be in stores today, September 19. The new “Debbie Loves Dallas” will be available in Blu-ray as well as standard DVD.

McKai originally pitched his idea for an alternative adaptation of the iconic 1970s adult film at the time Vivid Entertainment was giving the green light to shoot a big-budget remake to award-winning director Paul Thomas. The Thomas version — starring popular Vivid Girls Stefani Morgan, Monique Alexander, Sunny Leone and Savanna Samson — was released as “Debbie Does Dallas…Again” and became an instant best seller. Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch gave McKai the go-ahead to create his own remake in the “alt” style as a separate release.

The resulting movie is laced with pop culture references. For example, to help convince the sexually adventurous alt actresses to wear cheerleader outfits, the cast was told that they would be shooting a porn version of Nirvana’s iconic song “Smells Like Teen Spirit” – with a ribald substitute for the word “spirit.”

The plot of the alt version centers on two groups of girls — one group headed by “Debbie” (played by Vivid Girl Cassidey) and the other by “Bambi” (played by Charlotte Stokley), in an homage to Bambi Woods, who played the original Debbie. The groups compete to see who can sleep with “Punky,” leader of the band Dallas.

A soundtrack included as a bonus disc with the DVD features Driver of the Year, Hank IV, All Will Fall, Popikok and All Good Funk Alliance, plus an original song and video by the movie band Dallas.

“This is the perfect date movie, except you won’t find it at your local multiplex,” said McKai.

“Debbie Loves Dallas” also stars Vivid Girl Monique Alexander, actresses Dana DeArmond and Pixie Pearl, with a cameo appearance by Vivid-Alt director Dave Naz. McKai and his crew making the movie were featured in the seven part Showtime series “Debbie Does Dallas…Again.”

The well regarded DVD Talk site has given the movie a “Highly Recommended” rating, saying “‘Debbie Loves Dallas’ is one of McKai’s most interesting and one of his sexiest movies to date” and that it “is a candy coated hardcore pop-culture soufflé”…..and “the whole production is handled with a wink and a nod….the sex is hot. The girls all look fantastic and have a genuine enthusiasm for the seven (sex) scenes that play out over the film’s two hour running time.”
