Eve Laurence Re-defining Eve Laurence

Porn Valley- I spoke to Eve Laurence when she was in town last week. She’s been living in Maryland but sounds like she’ll be in LA for at least 10-15 days each month. As we talked, Laurence continued to munch some Jack in the Box and claims they don’t have it in Maryland.

Laurence who sounds like she’s found her niche is also predicting that 2007 was going to be the year for her. She also joined up with Lisa Ann’s agency.

“She was shooting a scene the same day and we started talking,” says Laurence. “She’s, like, what are you doing now? I said I’m repping myself. She said maybe we could exchange contact info.. I was, like, sweet. I’m not afraid to work hard and get what I want. With her energy, we both needed each other for motivation.”

Laurence also notes that she’s doing anal scenes now.

“Doing anal gives me a whole new appreciation for the industry,” she says. “I’m getting a good rate for it, too. I’m creating an elitist of myself. I’m re-defining what it is to be a girl in our industry. And I just want to re-define what a girl in our industry is- to be a woman that is beautiful, intelligent, sexually confident and environmentally aware of what’s going on around here.”

“I’m pleased to hear that you’re doing environmentally-aware anal scenes,” I tell her. “God forbid you get the EPA involved.” Laurence said she and her boyfriend [the same one] have been practicing off camera. And because things are going well in her private life, she feels more confident on camera.

However Laurence feels that women are still oppressed, sexually.

“A woman cannot go out and be proud of herself,” she states. “A woman is still considered a whore if she fucks around. But a guy can fuck around and it’s cool. I get called a whore because I shoot porn.” At the same time Laurence is at odds, observing that all the girls she came into the industry with are now hooking.

“Don’t you understand what it means to be an adult film actress? You create fantasy. That’s what it is.” Laurence was telling me about a scene where the director wanted her to put on men’s boxer shorts.

“You could tell that more than a couple of chicks wore this shit- it was gross.” she laughed. “They were, like, put it on. I was no. I said can you give me something that hasn’t been worn by half the porn community? Don’t you understand about clothing and parasites and stuff? They said you’re getting paid for this scene. I told him it was probably worn by somebody who had crabs and I’m going to get it. He looked at me like I lost my mind. I’m, like, this is the only body that I have.”

Laurence mentions that she’s nominated for a sex scene award.

“It was a movie I shot three years ago for Vivid.”
