Hottest Girl in Porn: Anjelica Lauren Didn’t Fulfill her End of the Bargain

Paul Lindsey writes: Hi Gene, You have heard Anjelica Lauren’s side of what happened last weekend in Las Vegas. Now I would like to provide some facts about what really happened:

1. Anjelica Lauren, was a contestant and weekly winner in the “Hottest Girl
in Porn” contest. She constantly asked what place she was in and early in the day of the pageant, she was in 10th place. As I did for any girl in
the contest, I was happy to let her know where she stood. Voting for
the pageant continued til 9pm PST where Anjelica’s final ranking was
19th. (Please go to www.thehottestgirlinporn.com/news.php for the
official final ranking.) While it’s great that she had a friend who
voted continuously for her on the final night, each contestant
received thousands of votes. One voter would probably not affect the
final outcome.

2. At the AEE convention, Anjelica was one of two girls who agreed to
sign at our booth. As compensation for signing, I was to provide each
girl with a hotel room. We had boothspace inside the Adult Industry
News Booth. It is not uncommon for companies to share boothspace.

3. Certainly, Angelica understood that if she did not sign for us, we
were not going to pay for her room. For whatever reason (as she said,
she didn’t like someone in the booth), she did not fulfill her end of
the agreement. And so, I informed her that we pay for her room up to
the point she stopped signing, and then she was on her own.

4. There were two girls in the booth and I paid for their rooms while
they were signing. Actually, I paid for Anjelica’s room on the first
day even though she did not sign for us that day. I paid for Candy
Manson’s room until Candy stopped signing at thebooth on Saturday and
I paid for Anjelica’s room until Anjelica stopped signing at the booth
on Thursday. I have receipts from the hotel to prove it.

5. Anjelica Lauren was never in 3rd place as she alleges. The highest
ranking she received in the finals, which ran from Jan 1-Jan 12, at
one point was 9th. There was a lot of voting during the last few days,
and this greatly affected the final outcome. Her final position was
19th.

6. The night of the pageant, I saw Anjelica outside the red carpet and
not again until she stormed out (when she was not selected in the top
10). I was in the control booth so it was physically impossible for me
to speak to her, much less to threaten her. And, I had to make sure
the rest of the show went on, irregardless of how slighted she felt.
So the only people was I speaking to was my assistant, Tony Batman
(the MC) and theater staff. I feel bad for her, but look… someone
has to lose. The voters made the choice here, not me.

7. Her implications about the contest being rigged are simply false
(and actionable, if she had any money and I felt like suing her).
Sinnamon Love won her week against Tera because Sinnamon promoted
more….plain and simple. Tyler Faith lost her week to Shay
Jordan….plain and simple. Evan was upset but he went on and Wankus
and Tyler are fine, we spoke at the convention and they gave me passes
to the KSEX party there…so it seems as if Anjelica is trying to drum
up something which isn’t there.

8. For Anjelica to say that I was “doing several of the girls who
were competing” is ludicrous and the last time I “did” Anjelica was
before Erotica LA. I had Andrea Jaxx, a friend, at the booth selling
tickets, 1. because I was on the floor and 2. because Anjelica wasn’t
there to do it as per our agreement. When I went to ask her about it,
I found her at the Sandy Bunz booth and she was confrontational then, so I excused myself and apologized to Sandy for the inconvenience. Andrea Jaxx is not my girlfriend, nor have I dated her, nor done a scene with her. My
girlfriend was at the expo and pageant to show support and is not in
the business.

9. When Anjelica Lauren would come into town earlier in 2006, she
stayed with me twice. She became a distraction and nuisance to me and
my neighbors and I elected not to have her stay with me anymore.

10. Anjelica admits on her myspace page: “I beat up 2 hotel security
guards and threatened to kill myself, so LVPD had me in a mental
hospital under observation”. That would be my guess as to what really
happened there.

I do feel badly for her and wish her all the help and best in the
world. Her sense of reality and truth is very impressionable and oft
times, grossly inaccurate. Her delusions of grandeur are fueled by her
penchant for recognition and acceptance, which I feel will also be her
undoing. She reneged on signing for me, because she felt slighted and
allowed her ego to get her in trouble.

I will be more than happy to provide any and all data on the voting.
