from www.eonline.com – Lindsay Lohan missed an appointment, but Scarlett Fay [pictured] didn’t miss an opportunity.

The adult-film actress, who markets herself as a Lohan look-alike and starred in the Hustler Video-produced DVD Untrue Hollywood Stories: Lindsay Goes to Jail, just so happened to show up at the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner [Thursday].

You know, the same place where Lohan was expected to report for community service at the morgue.

Coincidence?

“I had a secret shoot with Girls & Corpses magazine and we swung by the coroner’s office to see how Lindsay was doing on her first day,” Fay told E! News.

“However, to our surprise, she was not there. But the press was! If they couldn’t get the real Lohan they were going to get the next best thing.”

Too bad the support system only works one way. Somehow, we don’t think Lohan has ever crashed a Girls & Corpses photo shoot…

Anyway, Lohan was late to her first day on the job—20 minutes by her rep’s estimate and 40 by the coroner’s office—but is expected to return Friday bright and early for orientation.

At first there was some confusion as to whether Lohan was even welcome any longer after being deemed a “no-show” today, with Assistant Coroner Ed Winter saying it was up to the probation department or a judge to give her a do-over, and he hadn’t heard from either.

But as of this evening, Lohan was planning to return.

Rep Steve Honig tells E! News: “Lindsay will be going to orientation [Friday] morning unless otherwise instructed by the court. As it stands now, she has not been notified of any changes.”

Surely Scarlett Fay could take over in a pinch.
