Rob Spallone called me last night to talk about the article that’s on http://www.adultbeat.com/article.php?id=1627, that Luke Ford quit because of pressure put on his boss by AVN. For some reason I didn’t find it surprising. Not that Luke quit but because of the motives that went behind it.

I caught Spallone in a middle of a card game after he had called me earlier. I was on KSEX Thursday night on Chef Jeff’s show and, consequently, treated to the grim spectacle of Jeff’s chest hair. When I got home I got an account of another grim spectacle. Spallone gave me some account behind Luke’s walkout. Got to tell you the truth I’ve had issues with Luke in the past, mostly fostered by my previous connections with AVN, but that’s water long under the bridge.

“This is some fucked up shit,” said Spallone. “I treat Paul [Fishbein] like a friend. He treats me like a friend. He called and left me a fucking message that I did not like.”

Spallone says every time he listens to the message he gets more upset. “Luke guit his job because of him.”Spallone: Last week Fishbein called and asked me not to do any interviews. I did an interview with them. They haven’t posted it yet. I’ve been speaking with this kid Scott Ross. I was supposed to do an interview with Tim Connelly and he put me with this kid. The kid does an interview. I tell him you guys better put my interview up or there’s going to be problems. He was calling me every day.

They’re telling me the other day that Rob’s story is going to be great. Then Tuesday there was about ten of us in the office. He [Scott Ross] called me and we were on speaker phone. We were talking. My partner was asking questions, everybody. Luke happened to be in my office. Then, Thursday, I went to the AIM press conference. I don’t think I did anything wrong. Nobody said I did. I come back to my office late Thursday afternoon and there was a message from 9:30 that morning from Paul Fishbein. I have the message on my machine something like Rob I think it’ really fucked up and I’m going after Luke Ford. I’m going after his boss. I’m going to sue them. I spoke to Cambria blah-blah and everything else. Nasty. Like that. At the end of the message he said you’ll probably deny that Luke was taping the conversation. Which I really didn’t know.

So I called him [Fishbein] and he said Rob, I going after him. I have Cambria. I already spoke to his boss. His boss already took the whole conversation down. Meanwhile they have not printed my story. They could do that in two seconds. Luke’s boss- the lawyer must have called him- took the story down, the conversation that went on. He [Fishbein] kept calling it a felony.

Luke made Sharon Mitchell look like a real monkey today when he asked her about the date [when she knew Darren James was positive]. Sharon said Tuesday. He said Tuesday? She said Wednesday. Then she said Thursday. He made her say every day in the week. [Gene sez: Mitchell did say something about Thursday which I found confusing.]

Gene: I was confused when she brought in Thursday. I’m like whaaa?

Spallone: She didn’t know what the fuck was going on. She looked like a real moron. I got this and I figured Luke was going to be real happy. He finally got a good story he ran home to write. Luke calls me up and says I quit. I go what do you mean you quit. He says my boss took down the story. He had no right taking down the story without confirming with me what went on. Luke stood up for himself.

That story was a conversation between me and that kid [Scott Ross] and what was going on. The story was nothing but Paul flipped out that we had a taped conversation. That’s a felony. he was fuckin’ livid. The other morning Paul Fishbein calls me up 8:30 in the morning. The morning after the talent meeting. He says, Rob, me and you were friends. Was I sabotaged. at the meeting? I said, Paul, I’m going to be real honest with you. There was about 25 talent people and Gne Ross was there. And you weren’t sabotaged in anyway. He’s, I’m going to know if I was because I had some people there but they just haven’t come to work yet. I said the only thing was said was Tony Tedeschi said maybe we should boycott the L.A. Erotica show. And he [Fishbein] said, what? He said what about Don Hollywood? I said, kidding around, Ron Miller would love that. I said, that’s all that was said. He goes, Tony will be boycotted from my shows this and that! Take it easy. Nobody fuckin’ said nuthin’ But instead of calling up asking, Rob, what happened, he calls up, you’re probably going to deny it. I don’t know who the fuck he thinks he is.

Why would he have a problem with me. I say my peace. If you have a problem call me and talk to me. He didn’t. He left the nastiest message. He had no balls whatsoever. He’s going I’m going to sue Luke Ford for felony, his boss and whoever else. What didn’t he say me too. Other than that, today’s meeting was total bullshit. AIM was there to pat themselves on the back. They were asking me to leave. Security came over because the press was doing an interview with me. She told the security to get me out. Security came over and said I have to ask you to leave. I said nicely, I have no problem. If you want me to leave I’ll leave. I turned around and I stared to shout I just want you to know that they’re throwing me out. They don’t want me here. They don’t want to get my side of the story and I’m leaving. Security walked me out. The press came running after them. The guy took me over the side. I ask what’s the matter? He said the woman that’s throwing the meeting doesn’t want you here. I said no problem, I’ll wait outside. Is that okay? he said yeah. Then he said, yeah, listen, you can go back inside. She had the sheriff’s dept. come and said I threatened her life. I never threatened anybody today. I never mentioned anybody’s name. When they asked me who I am I said I’m Rob Spallone. What do you do? I shoot. I’m a producer and director for about 16 companies in the business. I didn’t mention VCA, nothing.

Now Larry Flynt’s wife and Sharon are pretty close. Not everybody knows the real side of the story. When I did the math today when I asked her how many tests and she said 900. And she pays $55 for a test. She charges $110. She makes over 40 grand a month in a non-profit organization. Where’s all the money? That’s all I want to know. Plus she gets $500 a month from Legend; a $1000 from VCA; a $100- from Hustler. All these donations every month. Where’s all the money? If anything she should be helping the talent here. I don’t understand what’s going on.

Gene: Do you know if the state or Federal government subsidizes the AIM tests.

Spallone: $30. The chlamydia and gonorrhea. They give her money for that. Why when I had the clinic and we were charging $95 and I lowered the price to $85, she had no choice but to lower it. And then, when I closed the clinic, she raised it to a $100. There’s certain companies I shoot for that if you don’t bring a test from AIM, they don’t accept the test. That’s why I have to make sure that every test’s from AIM. That’s a monopoly. That’s bullshit. The gay people don’t test and she wants to bring the gay people in. Why? For more money? It’s all about the money. To ask me to leave when I was doing absolutely nothing wrong, why would you want me to leave? Because I have something to say that you don’t agree with?
