Mariah Carey Objects to Mary Carey Name

Porn Valley- Mary Carey who often said in past interviews she chose her name because of her resemblance to Mariah Carey is running into interference from the singer’s lawyers.

AVN reports that Carey is trying to put a stop to adult starlet Mary Carey’s attempt to trademark her name.

According to Carey, Mariah’s lawyers argued in an opposition letter that since Mary Carey’s films might include music, “Confusion between your client and her Mary Carey trademark and our client Mariah Carey trademark is therefore likely.”

“In her attempt to block the trademark, Mariah Carey is seeking to prevent Mary Carey from using her name on any ‘motion picture films featuring adult entertainment; a series of prerecorded video cassettes, DVDs, multimedia software recorded on CD-ROM and interactive multimedia computer programs featuring adult audio and visual dramatic performances,’ ” states the story.
