DETROIT from www.myfoxdetroit.com – The assistant U.S. attorney held up a compact disc and told the judge it is the little black book — 30,000 names with all kinds of sensitive information that they do not want made public.
“I need to see it to determine whether or not it’s correct,” said defense attorney Paul DeCailly.
He represents Greg Carr [pictured], the alleged mastermind behind a multi-million dollar escort service that serviced johns from Miami to Detroit and beyond. Porn stars and prostitutes were paid $500 an hour for their services through Miami Companions.
DeCailly told the court he needs a copy of the escort service’s little black book to prepare for trial.
“There’s a lot of information there. There’s dates and times and locations of various things,” he said.
There are also names and addresses and even sexual preferences, damaging information on a lot of men, many in the metro Detroit area.
Prosecutors wanted the defense to view the information at an FBI office, but the judge ruled Greg Carr and his attorney can have the disc for 30 days. They just cannot print, copy or disclose the list.
Carr’s ex-wife Laurie Carr, the alleged madam, has already taken a plea deal in the case and is cooperating with authorities as they pursue Gregory Carr.
“Very adamant that his role was minimal in this,” DeCailly said. “There seems to be a lot of what I would call misinformation about his role.”
“I think that there’s been a lot of madam stories over the last ten years, and I think they want a pimp story this time and they’re not going to get it,” he added.
