Most Porn Consumers Don’t Read Porn Blogs Or Post On Message Boards

Let me tell you about the average porn viewer.

He goes to a website and sees thousands of scenes of nondescript talent doing various sex acts. He sees a blonde girl who looks cute and says, “I think I’m gonna masturbate to that.” After he’s done and he’s ashamed of what he just did, he closes his computer or turns off his TV and that’s it.

He doesn’t go to AVN.com or AdultFYI.com or XBIZ.com or MikeSouth.com to get the latest gossip. The latest news on his favorite porn starlet. He doesn’t give a shit and neither do most people. Like I said in yesterday’s article www.adultfyi.com/read.php?ID=60440 you basically have a coupla thousand people who go to the same sites every day. The people who send emails to the various blogs send the same emails to everybody. When you go to a porn message board like Mike South, you get the same people posting day after day. People with no life other than to argue with the other losers. 30-40 year old guys who live in their mom’s basement. They’re all the same people.

Give you an example. There was a picture of a sign posted at a strip club about performer Teal Conrad being out of porn because of a sugar daddy. That same picture appeared on two of the gossip sites, MikeSouth.com and TheRealPornWikileaks.com. Obviously the same loser sent it to both sites.

These other websites like to claim that one gets quadruple the traffic of the other, but in reality they all get about the same 4-5000 visitors a day. Mike Strother aka Mike South likes to claim he gets ten times the amount of traffic that we do. That would make over a million visitors a month. If that were the case, he could sell the site to Google and retire. But he doesn’t get that traffic, nobody does. It’s the same core group of 4-5000 a day. If you get a big story about somebody swimming with AIDS you might get a little bump. Otherwise, it’s the same jerkoffs.

Another example. Mike Strother has an “exclusive” interview with Cameron Bay. Cameron Bay was at the center of the HIV outbreak last year. He talked about how she is doing and wished her well and posted a statement from her. Then you go over to TheRealPornWikileaks and it’s the same story again. The same people email the same story to the same websites. The same keyboard warriors all post the same bullshit.

Mike South posted a story about Kaylani Lei that he later pulled down. He pulled it down because Samantha Saint’s lawyer husband threatened him with a lawsuit. He said he handed the info to the “proper authorities” to handle it and said that Rob Black better be careful or he would get caught up in it. Caught up in what? It’s the same email warrior that constantly sends me info that I ignore, but Mike Strother chose to post it. This same person sends an email to Mike South then he sends me South’s response. These same people go to my site, to Mike South’s site, to TheRealPornWikileaks. They’re fascinated with this aspect of the industry. They’re losers.

When I look at my stats, I see the same IP addresses accessing the site several times a day. We actually get more action than the other sites because I do a show everyday and talk about different things other than porn. We post the clips on YouTube and they get posted on other sites. I don’t care about the porn stats because it’s the same people over and over again. I don’t care. Somebody even said in a post, “Rob Black doesn’t care about the talent.” You’re absolutely right, I don’t.

Everything I did about porn and unions and talking about people was a schtick. It got me on The Young Turks, it got me an article in The Daily Beast. It was always about putting The Rob Black Show over to the mainstream. It jumpstarted the concept of me doing an opinion show. It was a schtick. I could give two fucks. I only care about me and the people around me. I don’t care if Alex Gonz is swimming with hepatitis C and giving it to everybody. I really don’t care about the health and safety of the industry.

Think about this. Talking about the health and safety of the adult industry is kinda like talking about poor prison conditions. Nobody gives a fuck. Go ask the average person about it. “Did you know that there are porn performers who contract sexually transmitted diseases?” People in the real world go, “Duh! And…? What’s your point?”

Nobody gives a shit. The only reason Michael Weinstein gives a shit is to make money. The only reason Isadore Hall gives a shit is some of that money is put into his pocket. Not directly, but through fundraising for his campaign. When Hall has a 500 dollar a plate fundraiser, donors of AIDS Healthcare Foundation are in attendance. Rich people need write offs, so Michael Weinstein steers them toward Isadore Hall. Other than that, nobody really gives a flying fuck about porn because it’s a nasty business. It’s only legal in two states. In every other state in America, it’s pandering and prostitution.

It’s hard to apply regulations to a business that’s illegal. Kinda like the marijuana debate. How do you apply regulation and legitimacy to something that’s legal in one state but illegal under federal law? If you had to make the adult industry comply with real world rules it would be shut down. Kinda like what we talked about on the show yesterday about smoking. If you applied cancer prevention regulation that you apply to everything else, the cigarette industry would be no more. It’s one of those things that flies under the radar because of the money that goes into a lot of political pockets.

If Florida OSHA tried to regulate the industry out there, they would first have to deal with the fact that it is illegal to shoot porn there. Nobody says anything until someone makes noise. Same thing with Nevada OSHA. When people like Peter Acworth and Diane Duke make threats in the media about the industry leaving California, they are forcing the people in political power to act. That’s why they are bad for the business. If they just shut their mouths and learn how to play politics, everything would eventually be business as usual because after the media spotlight goes off, nobody gives a fuck about porn.

And nobody gives less of a fuck than me.

There are certain issues with certain people that I care about because I want to see them fail. I want to see those people tortured. I want to see them suffer. Then there’s a whole bunch of people I don’t give a fuck about. 90% of these people I couldn’t care less about. There are only maybe 10% I give half a shit about and that’s only to make their lives miserable. Other than that, I don’t care about the talent, their health and safety, none of it. It was all to get publicity, to put on a reel. It was all to get attention from people who could take me to the next level and that is out of this business. That is what is important.
