Porn Valley- After a three-year legal battle, Max Hardcore comments on the deal finalized with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office that dismisses all obscenity charges against him for his feature Max Extreme 4.
Hardcore: The following is my statement concerning my recent victory on obscenity charges over the State of California, brought by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, represented by Michelle Anderson.
People who’ve never been caught up in the legal system don’t realize that once they’ve got you by the balls, they almost never let go. But because we were in the right, and the scrappy fight we put up, today the dog finally let loose.
The obscenity charges were a waste of time when this ordeal started three years ago, and I’m pleased that the city finally decided to put this frivolous waste of tax payer’s money to rest. In spite of the ludicrous nature of the charges, it was never an easy fight. But with the expert help of attorney Jeffrey Douglas, as well as my perseverance, I’ve withstood the best they could throw at me.
There are a lot more important things for the Organized Crime and Vice Squad to be doing. As anyone can tell you, there’s a lot of bad shit going down on the street, that need enforcement. But when the authorities go into people’s homes, and dictate what they can view, that’s when they’re not only wasting precious public money, they’re out of line, and trampling on freedom of speech.
I’ve been around a long time, and I’ve really paid my dues. Anybody producing adult entertainment, better be prepared for a constant battle. Thankfully, I had the advantage of being organized from the ground up. From the way I keep my records, to all work my team has done over the years, to the guidance of Jeffrey Douglas.
With everything I do, I don’t intend to lose. I get up every morning and find a way to win. I’d like to thank those individuals who supported me through these trying times, and want them to know that they can count on me to the end. Max Hardcore
