This story goes back awhile and I never posted it. Don't know why. But with the news that Emily Evermoor is in jail, it all seems kind of relevant.
I was talking to Skeeter Kerkove about some other things and he tells me a couple of stories about Mike Ramone, the former AVN editor-in-chief who got in dutch for making promises to Emily Evermoor.
“Mike Ramone and his wife moved from their house,” announces Skeeter. “I go, wow, did they sell it?”
“I didn’t know Mike Ramone was married,” I tell Skeeter.
“Yeah, to a dominatrix,” relates Skeeter.
“She was investigated by LA Vice but that’s another story. She was told to shut down in the neighborhood which was across the street from the Northridge Hospital.”
Skeeter remembers being taken to the hospital when he was in sixth grade.
“I was taken there with my three toes almost being severed,” Skeeter recalls. “ My mom was pretty traumatic with my toes hanging off. But they re-attached them and away I went, just a happy little boy. It happened from a tent stake.”
“Skeeter, it always amazes me how you could be talking about Mike Ramone’s dominatrix wife one moment and be ending up in a hospital with a toe story the next,” I tell him.
“That’s because I’m as smart as a box of rocks,” Skeeter laughs.
“You should have a picture on your website of a box of rocks and a picture of Skeeter asking which is smarter. Unless it comes to real estate and I’ll kick butt on 99% of the people in porn.”
“Mike Ramone’s house was nasty. I’ve been in drug houses, crack addict houses. I have been in some places in my evil, wicked, sinful life. Even my one editor said it was the nastiest house he’s ever been in. It was bad. It was in the ghetto in Reseda three houses away from the hospital. I’m not exaggerating.”
“What about Ramone’s wife being shut down?” I want to know.
“Los Angeles vice had numerous complaints that she was beating on men and sodomizing them with dildos and charging men for it,” Skeeter explains.
“They actually went to the Ramone house and shut ‘em down. And Mike would be involved in it, too. This is a true story. For real.”
Skeeter says this happened a couple of years ago which would have made Ramone an AVN employee when it happened.
“And Paul Fishbein was not happy about it,” says Skeeter. “What happened, his house, which I’ve been to four times, so when they were doing these dominatrix sessions, people would go to the wrong house confusing the address with the street before his.
“This came out of Mike Ramone’s mouth, this is not my own story,” Skeeter notes. “There was drama with people coming dressed up to be humiliated and raped in the ass going to the wrong house one block away with the same address but a different street name Picture this: Cardamine Court and Cardamine Drive. That’s what happened and drew attention to Vice.”
“Mike Ramone and his wife had a dungeon built in the living room of their rental house. What Mike Ramone is really into, hardcore, is girls beating on men and using strap-ons on them,” Skeeter relates.
“Then Ramone and his wife had to downsize because of the payola money.”
“What payola money?” I’m asking.
“The money Paul Fishbein gave Mike Ramone is running out,” says Skeeter.
“Mike Ramone made a mistake. When he got the money to go away so there was no lawsuits, he went out and bought a $25,000 Harley. Mike Ramone was taken care of, from what I was told out of Mike Ramone’s mouth, for two years.
“It couldn’t have been hush money since he talked,” I venture to say.
“What was that about?”
“If you thought you knew a lot about Paul Fishbein don’t you know Mike Ramone knew more?” Skeeter says slyly.
“Mike Ramone is on tape recorded phone call conversations which everybody buried on how to make sure someone gets an AVN award if they give him a visit."
[Gene says: those alleged tape conversations to Emily Evermoor www.adultfyi.com/read.php?ID=20378 have never been produced. However Evermoor was promised, among other things, to be an AVN trophy girl. And that was reneged on.]
“Mike Ramone bought a brand new Harley for 25 grand- the money he got to quietly leave AVN,” Skeeter goes on to say. “Ramone told me that.”
“I thought you and Ramone weren’t speaking,” I say.
“No, I was his cameraman for two movies,” replies Skeeter. “We’re huge distanced now because he told me you can’t talk about Gene on anything I do. Then I told him I don’t know you any more. He goes you mean to tell me you’re going to fuck me over for Gene? He said I couldn’t talk to you on anything he and I did together. He goes you’re ruining your career by talking to Gene.
"I go, are you kidding? That’s the only thing that saved my career. Why are you still in a Paul Fishbein mood? We’re not talking about buying awards. We’re just talking about the truth. Then he did a shoot without me then called to say I really need you on my projects. I said, yeah you do because I make things happen.”
“I brought Ramone into the business,” I tell Skeeter. “I gave him his first job as a freelance writer. He was a court reporter. Then I hired him to take my place when I left AVN.”
