PASADENA — from www.pasadenastarnews.com – Brian Randone will appear in court on Thursday for a preliminary hearing on charges he tortured and murdered his girlfriend.
Deputy District Attorney Philip Wojdak said Tuesday he will call as witnesses a county medical examiner, a homicide investigator and toxicologist to testify at the hearing.
Randone is accused of slaying Felicia Lee. Lee is a soft-core adult movie actress and model who was found dead inside the couple’s Monrovia apartment on Sept. 11.
The coroner ruled her death a homicide by asphyxiation.
Toxicology tests found cocaine and GHB in Lee’s body at the time of her death.
Randone’s defense attorney, Mark Overland has said Lee died from a drug overdose.
At the conclusion of the preliminary hearing a judge will decide whether prosecutors have sufficient evidence to take Randone to trial.
