Porn Valley- Kurt Lockwood was at porn star karaoke introducing a new performer to the ranks named Jean Valjean. While this guy’s a handsome Frenchman, I kind of noted to Jean, in passing, that there’s another performer in the business, out of New York, by the same name. Though I seriously doubt whether the two will be confused since the New York Jean Valjean is a black performer. Lockwood, who’s particularly proud of a scene he just did with Faith Tyler and Cindy Crawford for Jill Kelly Productions, says that he’ll also be directing a POV line for Zero Tolerance.
Lockwood was interviewed Tuesday by a British publication called The Face which is their equivalent to Vanity Fair. “I really like the angle they’re pushing,” said Lockwood, “about the kid most likely to cross over in the mainstream. They’re a very hip, trendy, up-to-the-minute magazine.” Lockwood said he spent about a half hour on the phone doing an interview, and they’ll have a cameraman shooting Lockwood Monday.
“They asked me what it’s like for a new guy in the business,” Lockwood said. “To them, they see me as that I rose up pretty fast. They were asking me about that, winning the award and my aspirations to cross over and do mainstream stuff. I told them I was an actor first. I’d love to do better scripts with better locations and all that good stuff. And, of course, make more money. We were also talking about the mainstream movie, Brown Bunny [featuring a controversial blowjob] and how it wasn’t that far away where porn was going mainstream and mainstream was going porn. The timing is almost right for somebody to come out of porn and get cast by one of the more mainstream directors.”
Speaking quite frankly, Lockwood said his ambition is to become the biggest male porn star of all time. “I’m enjoying myself so far. As long as it stays fun.”
Also in our quick scan of Sardos we couldn’t help but notice Kim Chambers keeping company with her now boyfriend.
And Kiss, making an appearance, told me that she’s now going to start directing for Hustler. Meanwhile, Mark Davis apologized for not having returned a phone call saying there was a lot of personal shit going on his life. We told Davis that’s what we wanted to talk to him about. But all he would do is confirm the fact that his divorce with Kitten is pending.
And while the name might not mean much to most porn folk, we also ran into an old time pal, Frank Dietz, who’s now writing scripts for the mainstream. He tells us he’s got a script called The Woodie that will star Marisa Tomei. Back in the day, Dietz worked in the art department at Odyssey when it was located on La Cienega Blvd. and wrote a number of porn scripts for Leena when she was the contract girl there.
