Porn Valley- Superman Christopher Reeve died of a heart attack yesterday. That’s probably because Reeve learned that, with parking, it cost porn fans $45 bucks to get into Adultcon. And what it was worth, is what you were willing to pay, I suppose. So, in the immortal words of Yogi Berra, I went to Adultcon and saw some girls who were there and saw some that weren’t.
And I did see a lot of unoccupied booths with porn stars’ names on them. I also saw a lot of unoccuped food bins in the concession area. Thin-skinned show promoter Renaud West pitched a bitch- but not to my face- about the fact that I got in, wondering how. I paid the vig, I guess.
West, evidently, is smarting, about how I’m willing to post grievances voiced from others who had bum’s rush dealings with the show. And it’s a long list that’s extended several years. Of course it probably doesn’t dawn on West that holding a convention on a football Sunday isn’t the swiftest of moves, either.

Victoria Givens was getting lots of traffic in the left aisle as you entered Adultcon. Givens has her big 100-man anal gangbang coming up October 23 at a strip club in North Hollywood and the declaration is to have the shoot done and finished by the time the club is ready to re-open at seven that evening. It’s going to be a four-camera shoot. According to Bill, Given’s husband, Sexual World Records are coming up with a trophy to hail the event. The movie’s also going to be distributed by Adam & Eve, hence no double-anals or ATM’s will be attempted.
And further down the aisle was Shane, situated almostly directly across from Shane’s World. The awkwardness of that arrangement was certainly not lost on Shane who must have been reminded of it dozens of times during the day. Shane said a girlfriend of hers was probably more aggrieved of the fact than she was- Shane having gone through a tumultuous parting of the ways with the company years ago but has since gotten over it. But Shane mentions that Jenny of Shane’s World had a kid and Shane did send her a card.
KSEX peejay Rebecca Love was signing at the Passion Pictures booth.
Among the performers, Cherokee and Jolene shared a booth. Next to them was Bella Starr. Didn’t see Tianna Kai at hers but she may have walked in later. Didn’t see Shy Love at hers. Randy Wright also had a booth as well as KSEX peejay, Kaylani Lei.
Gia Paloma had a booth [didn’t see her there]. Jacklyn Lick had a booth along with Tai Kai; there was Darien Ross and Angela Stone sharing a booth. Stephanie Swift was also seen at the show. Nicole Brazzle had a booth. Other girls with booths included Aurora Snow, Hannah Harper, Shayna Knight, Sarah Blake, Avy Lee Roth, Alexis Amore. Catalina Cruz, Stacy Thorn, Brandi Lyons, Annie Cruz and Kylie Ray; Joli Lafleur, Kinzie Kenner and Karina; Trinity Post, Summer Sinn, Kat Cleavage, Pamela Peaks, Jerzee Lynn, Nina Dolce, Sexy Vanessa, Kelly Kline, Utah Sweet, Pink Flavors, Katwoman, Genesis Skye, Brianne, Luccia, Rachel Elizabeth, Exotica, Crissy Moran, Regan Anthony, Tylene Buck, Erin Moore; Lani Lei and Veronica Jeti were signing at The Naughty Modeling booth.
Colorado Joe, aka New York Joe, aka Las Vegas Joe will probably become known as L.A. Joe once he finds a studio for his company, AMA. Joe was promoting his new line 18 and Asian as well as TNT Babes. “We’re stepping up production and putting out more titles,” he says. “And we’ve got another more line coming out called Juicy Cream Pies.” At Joe’s booth was Devaun who graces www.tntbabes.com.
Dennis Hof was telling me that he’s going to be on Primetime, that Diane Sawyer and crew are coming out to The Bunny Ranch.
Genesis Skye and Brett Rockman are currently an item.
Ron Jeremy was signing autographs promoting the so-far Internet series Barnacle Bill The Sailor. And Dino Bravo was promoting his Wednesday Chatsworth Superior Court appearance with Sandy Bunz. Bravo has been in the middle of a long-standing legal hassle with Bunz with Bravo contending that Bunz owes him over $6,000 in back wages. Bravo won a judgment for $1,000 in July but is looking to get the full amount one way or another. Bravo all but drew me a map to the courthouse hoping that I would chronicle the face off.
I asked what Dino what gives with the second go-round. Bunz states that Bravo never bothered to submit paper work that would have allowed him to collect the $1,000. Bravo is saying that Bunz never called him. “He never picked up the phone to call me to pay me,” says Dino.
“He owes me $6,658.60,” says Bravo, obviously not splitting hairs. “He wasn’t paying me, I figured sue him in court. I sued him the 25th of June; he was summoned the papers the 29th. Think he would have called and said, hey, let’s work this out? He didn’t call me to work things out.” I hasten to remind Dino that the initiative seemed to be his in this situation.
“Correct,” says Dino. “I sued him for $5,000 and was awarded a $1,000. I said, your honor, there’s no way. The man owes me $6,000. He’s getting off. I’m letting him off easy by just taking the Five and going on with our lives. The people said to file what’s known as an SEC 105 which is another hearing based on new evidence. I had never been to court before. I handed the judge a pile of commission statements that were the copies of the originals that I gave to Sandy. I’d make a copy, give him the originals. he’d pay me off of those. Basically the invoices I haven’t been paid on are when they started logging up last Fall and early January. All of my customers are sending me invoices from November through January, early February of ’04.
“He’s telling the judge when I sued him for $5,000,” Bravo continues, “he says, your honor, I can’t pay him. These people haven’t paid me. Well he perjured himself because I have the stuff stamped and dated. Paid 11/3. Paid 12/20. Paid January of ’04. But he hasn’t paid. He perjured himself. He said he hasn’t been paid but he has been.”
Asked, again, why the judge awarded him only $1,000, Bravo said it was because he didn’t prove his case. “I handed him a bunch of papers. I didn’t know. So I went back and got the original invoices. I sent subpoenas out to all the customers that I had- to bookkeeping- I wrote out handwritten letters, attention, Accounts Payable. Then people were calling me what’s this all about.” Bravo said when he explained the situation, they were all willing to oblige.
“Wednesday I’m going to go to the court and present to the judge- this is the missing $4,000. I’ll have my i’s dotted and the t’s crossed. That’s all it was.” Bravo claims what makes the whole situation ridiculous is that when he resigned the company February this year, he asked for $100 a week to catch up. “Do you realize 28 weeks have passed? He could have owed me $2800 less. He could have given me a 1,000 DVDs on top of that $100 a week. But he wasn’t calling me to give me a $100 a week when I left. And then there was the extortion bullshit- I’m not paying you unless you bring girls around. I’m going to put your picture on the box of a tranny movie. It’s ridiculous. Then he’s trying to change the subject? He’s talking about how I’m a thorn in his side and he ends up talking about Dave Pounder- something else. What the hell does that have to do with the money that he owes me? It”s juvenile and childish. I just want the five grand and get on with my life. I earned that money.”
Bunz has long contended that Bravo backdoored company product.
Ron Jeremy, on the other hand, had less drama to discuss, although he did win the Best Actor award in Barcelona recently, beating out a field that included Rocco Siffredi, Nacho Vidal and Randy Spears. Jeremy won the award for a movie titled The Magic Sex directed by Andre Madness.
“Metro usually gives me a hard time- because I’m under contract- and I keep winning awards for other companies,” Jeremy laughs. “Metro has been in the great series called On the Loose which is very popular but not a lot of acting. It’s me being myself, hosting a travel brochure with sex in it. Andre Madness had be playing the character of a Genii. What made this special was that it was his first movie for his new company. He was under contract with Kick Ass Pictures, now he has his own company. This film was made a year and a half ago- at least part of it. That’s when Joey [Wilson] was running Metro. He said I could do the film. International Film Group in Spain distributes it and it did very well for them. It’s my first Spanish award. I’ve also got one in France, Italy, Germany and now Spain.”
I asked Jeremy about his cross-country tour debating feminist Susan Cole. “It’s doing very well,” says Jeremy. “We’ve done eleven debates, and I’ve faced off three times with Michael Leahy. he’s a former sex addict and kind of born again. I’d like to think I’ve won them all. Susan’s great. She’s a doctor. She got her degree from Harvard. She’s a really, really nice lady. We really get along well. We respect each other although was have our differences about the adult industry. But they’ve been good debates. They’re turned away a couple of hundred kids each time. They get up to 2,000 to 3,000 kids.” Scott Wolfman Productions books the debates. “She used to debate Al Goldstein,” Jeremy saves of Cole. “She said she didn’t like him very much. They would not be in the same limo. They would not be in the same hotel. They would not go to dinner together.”
Or go to the same deli together, I remind Jeremy, now that the former Screw Publisher’s working in one. Jeremy said he hasn’t seen Goldstein in awhile but plans to. “We’re still very good friends.” Jeremy has another debate coming up at the University of Tennessee and will travel to Ireland this weekend to receive an award at Trinity College. “They’ve honored senators and congressmen,” says Jeremy. “People who have excelled in their careers who are pop icons.” Jeremy also has another debate lined up with Cole in New Jersey.
I noted that besides all this, Jeremy also does a road show with Smiley Johnson the former Turd Ferguson. “I love doing shows with him,” says Jeremy. “They’re great. We do a bit called The Ron Jeremy S& M Sideshow. For the S&M part they hire some slaves and mistresses to do shows on the side while we do things on the main stage. Smiley opens up for me and I do a comedy show. Then he does a spit and swallow contest; I do a banana eating contest. Then we usually end up with lady wrestling. It pays real well and we go to various niteclubs throughout the country.” Jeremy says they usually draw between 500 to 1,000 people and hold the venues at rock n’ roll clubs, generally. “It’s fun- I love going out with him. He’s a great opener. I love that guy. I really do. We have some fun.”
I also asked Jeremy about Rodney Dangerfield, and Jeremy said he was going to the funeral later. “His widow Joan invited me,” he says. “He was a really good guy. He started so many comics. He wrote about me in his book. He gives me a funny, funny paragraph. He was a really sweet guy.”
It was noted that Dangerfield had been seen at industry events. “I brought him,” says Jeremy who met Dangerfield through Sam Kinnison. “I also brought him to a few sets. He went to Nic Cramer sets way back in the old days.” Jeremy notes that Dangerfield used him in an HBO special Opening Night at Rodneys. “I was in the movie Meet Wally Sparks. There’s another movie that hasn’t come out yet called Dr. Midnight. He used me and Tabitha Stevens. We socialized together once in awhile. I knew his son, also.”
Even though Barnacle Bill is currently an Internet project, Jeremy said he had to get permission, likewise. “We’re excited about it,” says Jeremy. “I have sex with girls from all over the world. It’s like I’m traveling to all those ports of call. We go to Israel. We got to Spain. Yeah, sure. I actually go to all these locations. Bullshiiiiit- excuse me. Sorry, I sneezed. We do this hotel room which looks like the inside of a boat with all the seagull noises and ocean noises. It’s fun.”
Jacklyn Lick told me she’s been touring. “And I just shot and directed my first movie [Dee’s House],” she says. “I produced it, wrote it, everything. It was good. I had Aria and Lee Stone and Dee and Ashley Renee. Some very good talent.” Asked if she was ever going to fight Tanya Harding, Lick said she doesn’t know. “She’s from my hometown, though. I would love to see her ass kicked but I paid too much money for my nose and my teeth.” Lick notes that she just signed another five year contract with Las Vegas Novelties, www.lvni.com. “I’m just working a lot. I worked last night [Saturday]. I was in Iowa and I got off at work 4 am and got on a plane at 6 this morning. I landed here at ten and got here late. I came straight from the airport. My schedule’s so tight these days.”
