Sechrest on the KSEX P.R. Deal: “We couldn’t agree on a rate so we both decided to call it quits”

Jason Sechrest takes issue with earlier headlines stating that he was fired from his KSEX P.R. gig. Sechrest in an exchange of IM’s this afternoon said he was not fired. [However, that’s the way it had been worded to me.]

This is what Sechrest writes: I had spoken with KSEX earlier in the day [Monday]. They asked me to either come down on my rate or start doing a per-project basis deal for them. I told them I don’t work per project and was already giving them a discounted rate. How that translates to “fired” I’m not sure. We couldn’t agree on a rate so we both decided to call it quits. I was asked to continue working for the company though as a publicist. That doesn’t translate to “fired.”
