A Web site that evaluates the sex trade across the U.S. may help law enforcement crack down on prostitution.
Daniel Weiss, senior analyst for media and sexuality at Focus on the Family Action, said he was shocked by some of the content.
“What’s surprising is how clinical it is,” he said. “It will tell the user exactly what this woman is willing to do.”
David Miller, vice president of Citizens for Community Values in Ohio, said the site lets johns shop online.
“That’s what pornography and sex addicts have always wanted — to be able to hide their problem,” he said.
There may be good news for family advocates, however. The site could be a boon to those cracking down on prostitution and sex trafficking.
“Law enforcement can look at this and see there’s clear solicitation of prostitution going on,” Weiss said. “And that’s a crime.
“Every police department in the country ought to log on to see who’s operating in their area.”
David Elms, who owns the site, is in jail on an unrelated charge, meaning there’s a chance it may go offline.
