from www.examiner.com – Tila Nguyen, better known as Tila Tequila, who signed a citizen’s arrest warrant against football player, Shawne Merriman for battery and false imprisonment, has had a troubled past.

She was a drug addict and delinquent before she became a Playboy model and reality star.

While living in Houston, when she was in middle school and high school, Tila Tequila joined gangs, did drugs, got into fights, and even spent time in juvenile detention centers.

While in New York City at age 16 she was using the drug, ecstacy while engaging in late night clubbing.

Tila returned to Houston and used a fake ID to get a job as a waitress at a strip club.

She first appeared in Playboy when she was 19, and went on to appear in Playboy five more times.

Tila was the first Asian model to become the magazine’s “Cyber Girl of the Month.”

Tila has appeared on the Playboy Channel, MTV and as a contestant on VH1’s reality series and most recently got her own dating show in 2007 on MTV called A Shot At Love with Tila Tequila. The show was a huge hit.

She appeared in the movie, “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry” with Jessica Biel and Adam Sandler.
