Bob at Dane Productions posts: I want to be totally honest with all of you, bare my innermost feelings, let you know my story. My name is bob, and I an v.p of Dane Productions. I am in a messy divorce right now, which affected my mind and body the early part of this year. After 30 plus years of marriage, it creates certain problems which alone cannot be dealt with. It really creates problems on a scope which cannot be imagined, unless you go thru this.
I am lucky. I sought help, counseling and am still doing this, and it has helped me take my life back, and move on. For the first time in years, I am happy. I did this myself. Noone could do this for me but me.
People afflicted with neuromuscular diseases cannot do anything for themselves. They depend on the kindness of others, you and I.
I have been trying to fight this fight for many years now, have seen progress and breakthroughs, but no cure as yet.
I would love to spend Labor Day not watching, or participating in the telethon, because there would be none. But every year, I think maybe this is the last year. So far, this is not the case. So myself, and thousands of people throughout the U.S. and Canada will again this year work, and hope this is the end of this story.
This year I am lucky. I have the FREE SPEECH COALITION backing my efforts, and hopefully you out there, you with your health, your healthy children, you who walk up stairs, crouch to get different camera angles, dance, all of you who can walk, dress yourselves, feed yourselves, all of you, like myself who had and continue to have emotional problems, which you have the ability to seek help and guidance for, you are the ones I am appealing to. There is a saying you probably have heard a million times, “God helps those who help themselves.” I am able to help myself. Those with muscular dystrophy depend on us. I ask you to give what
You can in the name of the FREE SPEECH COALITION help in this battle. I am proud to be able to try and motivate all to join me. I need your help, whether you like me, despise me, that is irrelevant. You can do that again September 5th. Now I need you to join with me. I promise you, once you do it, you will like me be hooked. I close this with a saying I always think about when I work the telethon every year, There but for the grace of God go I.”
All those wishing to make a contribution to Muscular Dystrophy from the adult industry, which I will try to get recognized on the air Labor Day Weekend, please send your check or money order made out to MDA to:
Dane Productions/MDA, 9547 Cozycroft Avenue; Chatsworth, Calif., 91311
On the bottom left of the envelope, please write attention Bob.
2 more names to add to those who will be joining me at the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon, Michelle Freridge, and Dimitri Cosmos. They join myself, Mara Epstein, Elizabeth Vasquez, Marty O’Malley, Anthony Pucillo, Tony Teresi, and Tiffany Bell. I will try to
Have the nice people that are so kind to help me acknowledge these great folks, and any others who join us daily.
There is no donation too small. Please, give what you can. Give as a group, an individual, a club anything. This is most likely the only time we of the adult industry will have a chance to do anything on a scope such as this.
Again, I thank you all in advance for your kind genrerous support afforded me. Gene, KSEX, AVN, all of you, thanks for putting your differences aside, and helping in the fight against MDA.
I hope I do not have to come to you next year. Maybe we can conquer this and all have a picnic next Labor Day.
I wish you health and happiness to you and yours, and I thank you again for your support, Bob, Dane Productions.
