Bob from Dane writes: A big thank you to the terrific people at KSEX radio for affording me a full hour of air time to ask for the support of the entire adult community in the fight against neuro-muscular disease. I hope that those who were not sure whether to help in this battle will now understand a little more about it, and contribute whatever they can. As I said last night, no amount is too small. You give from the heart, and you will feel terrific.
I am available 24/7 to answer questions, appear anywhere I can, whatever I can do to collect funds, so someday, Muscular Dystrophy will be a thing of the past. Last night, Batman who has become a strong ally in this quest, along with all the folks at KSEX, had a great idea, all the various clubs, you have the great fortune of having ladies that are healthy, able to dance, pass a bucket around for MDA. When the guys put some dollars on the stage, take 1 of those and put it in the bucket, and once a week send it to the address I will give below. Club owners, anything you wish to donate is tax deductable. Take one hour of receipts and send it in.
“Dance For Those Who Can’t” is a great title to use for this. Many of the dancers are single moms, and I know it is hard to make a living, especially with children. If all the girls in the clubs would get together and donate just $5.00 each,10 girls could send $50.00.
If 10 clubs did this, that is $500.00. then if the club owner would donate $100.00, that $600.00 sends one of the kids to summer camp. There must be at least 50 clubs in Southern California. How great would that be if you all did this!
All you big stars in our industry, you are able to be in that position because you are beautiful, handsome, and above all, healthy.
In honor of this, and in honor of the opportunity we have to make a difference this year, send in a donation.
I will honor you by mentioning your kindness, with the help of Gene, AVN,,etc, and recognize you on KSEX. I will not mention amounts, but I will acknowledge your kindness. You cared enough to help.
I was in Florida recently for the Exotica Show, and one beautiful star, the most famous in our industry, was there and the line to get her signature was over a mile long. I hope, since she is a premier representative of our industry, will see or hear about this and send in something in honor of her good fortune.
In closing, I want to say something to those people who do not like me personally, and you know who you are. My friends Gene Ross, AVN, X-BIZ, and others, who are not known for their love of each other, have put their differences aside to work together and try to make a difference in the battle against neuro-muscular disease. I am asking you, especially those of you who at one time liked me, and now do not to send in something in the spirit of compassion. September 5th, you can go back to not liking me personally, but it would be so great to show support, and maybe this will soften your heart and we can put our differences aside for a while, and do something wonderful for those that need it.
Batman mentioned a charity carwash last nite at a club I have frequented over the years. I will go get my car done there next week, and will pay whatever the cost is, no problem. I will give an extra something to MDA, and maybe everyone will do the same.
In closing, I want to mention the names I have so far of the wonderful people who have called me and promised to donate their time for the telethon this year. They are, Mara Epstein, Elizabeth Vasquez, myself, Marty O’ Malley, Anthony Pucillo, Tony Teresi, Tiffany Bell, Michelle Freridge, Dimitri Cosmos, Jonathan Rae, Sue George, Robin Castello, and 2 new folks, Dave Tobey, and Victoria Dunn.
I still need more people to help out. Please call me and I will give you details.
By the way, as I mentioned last night, all monies raised here, stays in Southern California. There is no cost to those that need the services of MDA. Please be as generous as you can and give what you can. I promise I will acknowledge somewhere, either in print, or on the actual telethon. Please send your tax deductable check or money order made out to MDA to:
