New York- It wasn’t just the physical torture alleged by prosecutors – the pins stuck in body parts, the knives carving skin, the chains and ropes and countless instances of sexual abuse – all recorded on his violent Web site.
Glenn Marcus, the 52-year-old Queens man arrested by the FBI last week for keeping sex slaves and featuring them on a pay-per-view Web site, also used mental torture to control the women, one victim has told told authorities.
According to the shocking new details obtained by the Daily News, Marcus burned his initials into the naked buttocks of his victims, called them by nicknames such as Doggie and Pooch and forced them to call him God.
He also threw them into dog cages, kept animal collars around their necks and beat them when they resisted, said a source familiar with the case.
“She was completely demeaned and dehumanized,” the source told The News of one victim. “I don’t think people would do to a dog what had happened to her.”
Marcus, who is facing a possible life sentence, is being held without bail on forced-labor charges involving aggravated sexual abuse. He pleaded not guilty and claimed everything was consensual.
But his victim told investigators that he lured women into a submissive relationship, physically forced them to remain and used fear, shame and humiliation – until their resistance withered and they voluntarily stayed, the source said.
For instance, besides placing the pictures on his Web site, Marcus threatened to send explicit photographs to their family, the source said.
“Asking her why she didn’t leave sooner is like asking a battered woman why don’t you leave your husband,” the source added.
The woman, referred to as CS2 in an FBI affidavit, met Marcus in an AOL chat room. He allegedly lured her to his house in October 1998. When she got there he tied her up, blindfolded her, shaved her head and forced her naked into a dog cage, the source said.
He used a hot wire hanger to carve his initials into her buttocks and into her feet and then the word “slave” into her abdomen, according to the source.
While just two victims are identified in court papers, CS2 told authorities that Marcus had five to 10 women at any one time and used the veterans to “train” the new ones.
Once trained, he had them troll AOL for “new recruits,” the source said. The end came for CS2 – and eventually for Marcus – after he pressured her to recruit her own sister.
Furious with her, he allegedly beat her, drugged her and burned her from head to toe with cigarettes, then put photos of her on his Web site, the source said.
She finally escaped in early 2002, but her mental anguish continued. To exact revenge, he placed even more explicit pictures of her on his site.
