Wicked Sensual Care (WSC) has launched its annual campaign for Sexual Assault Awareness Month, dedicating resources and a portion of proceeds from Simply Aqua Special Edition sales to Tending The Garden, an organization supporting marginalized sexual assault survivors.

Sexual Assault Awareness Campaign Details

In April, Wicked Sensual Care initiates its yearly campaign in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The intimate wellness brand pledges resources and a portion of proceeds from the sales of Simply Aqua Special Edition to aid Tending The Garden. This charitable organization is dedicated to helping marginalized sexual assault survivors in their quest for community, healing, education, and personal growth.

WSC Brand Strategist Jessica Drake commented on the campaign, noting the crucial role retailers and distributors play in serving communities with diverse backgrounds. Drake also mentioned the commitment to creating workplaces that mirror this diversity. She encouraged retail and distribution partners to stock Simply Aqua Special Edition to meet customer demand and to join WSC in its year-round support of Tending The Garden and other LGBTQ+ organizations.

The Simply Aqua Special Edition was originally launched in September 2021. Its creation aimed to support LGBTQ+ communities throughout the year by donating a portion of sales to charitable organizations serving them. To date, over $50,000 has been contributed to various organizations, including the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, the Trevor Project, Trans Lifeline, Trans Santa, Black and Pink, and Immigration Equality, to promote equal rights and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people.

According to the National Sexual Violence Resource Center, nearly half of all transgender individuals have experienced sexual assault. Rates are significantly higher among trans people of color, individuals engaged in sex work, those experiencing homelessness, or those with disabilities.
