Porn Valley- Now that the rest of the porn world has caught up with the fact that Kevin Rubio is suing Skeeter Kerkove, the following is the story that started it all.
From the adultfyi archives, December 2, 2005 – I spoke to Kevin Rubio at Ducati Productions the other night. Rubio says he read the story on Adultfyi.com about Bridgette Kerkove re-selling a scene to Metro which Skeeter Kerkove had shot during the HIV crisis. Rubio’s going, hey, wait a minute I bought that movie [with a scene featuring Nicki Hunter, Big Bob and Reno] from Skeeter.
“He sold that movie to me on an exclusive basis,” says Rubio. “We have it in writing. The reason I discovered it was because of something on your site about Bridgette being short a scene and getting it from Skeeter. It mentioned the people in the scene and I recognized that as people that were in a scene that I got from Skeeter. I did some research and found a movie- More Than a Handful 15- that’s to be released next month by Metro. That’s what it showed on an outlet site. But it’s got my exclusive boxcover images. I compared them side by side. There’s no doubt about that. According to my paperwork, Ducati Productions is exclusive owner of that scene.”
Rubio says he paid $15,000 for a movie- now one of its scenes is showing up elsewhere. Rubio says he’s highly miffed, needless to say, because the scene appears in a movie he’s already released titled Welcome to the Bunghole. Another thing puzzling Rubio is the fact that he assumes he bought the masters.
“Does that mean I got copies?” he asks.
Skeeter says he, indeed sold the movie to Kevin Rubio, but how Bridgette Kerkove got her hands on the scene in question is a mystery to him.
