Adam Wilcox posts on www.xxxwasteland.wordpress.com – Following a breakout role as Denise Huxtable in 2009’s Not the Cosbys XXX, lovely adult performer Misty Stone has parlayed her part in the award-winning parody into a vastly successful career in the world of erotic entertainment.

The popular starlet’s prominent roles in numerous XXX feature films have earned her a plethora of award nominations from major industry observer outlets such as Adult Video News and XBIZ and allowed Stone the opportunity to cross over into various mainstream projects, including parts on the Cinemax programs Co-Ed Confidential and Zane’s Sex Chronicles.

Misty is scheduled to join Sophie Dee as red carpet co-hostess during the 2012 Urban X Awards, which take place July 21 at the Beyond the Stars Palace in Glendale, California, where she is also nominated in two categories: Female Performer of the Year and Orgasmic Oralist (you can vote for Misty here). Additionally, Stone stars in the newly released Wicked Pictures blockbuster feature Men In Black: A Hardcore Parody.

Misty kindly spoke with XXX Wasteland on the afternoon of June 24 to discuss her role in MIB, co-hosting the red carpet at the Urban X Awards and much more.

Q: Let’s start at the beginning: Can you tell us how you entered the adult industry initially?

I got into the industry as a prerequisite of stripping; I just started dancing first. I was actually in Nebraska and I would take a lot of exotic girls from Miami and California and different places. We would go to some hole-in-the-wall places in South Dakota, Kansas City and just different places like that, and just rack up super bread.

Me and my cousin were roommates in Nebraska and she actually took the girls to California because I told her I was basically not willing to go back to California because I was trying to get away from the fast life, although I brought it out there to Nebraska with me. So, when she took the girls to California and they did their little show out there, she didn’t come back home because she said that it was going so well out there and this agent thought she was so voluptuous and just the most exotic woman he had ever seen, and he wanted to put her in all of these rap videos. So, she was doing a lot of (rap) magazines and she also ventured into the adult industry.

So, that was the reason why I came back to California, because she was just boasting and bragging about how wonderful it was. So, when I came back out here, it didn’t really work out for me as far as the whole rapper magazines and stuff like that, so I ventured more into the adult industry world and I’m still here and standing strong since March of 2006.

Q: Absolutely. You have a starring role in Wicked Pictures’ Men In Black parody, which is actually set to be released in just a few days (Note: the film is now available for purchase).

Yes, I played one of their lead characters – I played Mr. Will Smith as a female. I went undercover as a female; sometimes to get to the bottom of it, you have to go deep. So, I am undercover woman (Laughs), undercover agent. It’s a really fun movie. It’s full of a lot of special effects, a lot of fun, a lot of funny scenes – the cockroach guy is in there. It’s just a really hilarious movie, so I would definitely push all of my fans to go and get that movie coming up, baby – Men In Black XXX!

Q: Yeah, it really is getting a lot of buzz. People seem very pumped up for it.

Definitely. I can’t wait to see it. I’m very excited. I’ve seen a couple of little clips. Of course, you can check that out online at Wicked.com. But there are some trailers online of what is going to be coming soon.

Q: You are also going to be featured on an upcoming episode of the VH1 program Basketball Wives, is that right?

That is correct. They are getting back to me on when it is going to be aired, but yes, I do get my little 15 seconds of fame. They just asked me some ins and outs about what it’s like being in the industry and just as an independent woman in the industry – the perks, the pros and cons. So, I elaborate on the one question that they asked me because I thought it was going to be a whole bunch of questions and it would be like a 15 minutes of fame. But, no – they only asked me one question. (Laughs) So, I elaborated on that one question so much that I definitely got 15 seconds … I think. (Laughs) So, stay tuned. If you’re a Basketball Wives fan, stay tuned. I’m not sure when it’s going to be out, but it will be soon.

Q: You will also have a strong presence at the Urban X Awards coming up next month, as not only are you nominated for Female Performer of the Year, but you are also co-hosting the red carpet along with Sophie Dee.

Correct. I’ll be co-hosting the red carpet with Sophie Dee and then I’m also up for two awards. Like you said before, Female Performer of the Year – I urge everyone to go online and vote for me. And also, I’m up for Orgasmic Oralist. So, vote for me on that as well, you guys. (Laughs)

Q: For those who may be unfamiliar with the role of a red carpet host, can you describe some of the duties you will be handling that night?

The duties of the red carpet host are basically to fluff them before they are prepped for their actual scene. No, I’m kidding. (Laughs)

It’s kind of like that, though. It’s the prep before you go into the actual awards just to see where everybody’s heads are at, see what they are up for at the awards, know what’s going on, maybe they can plug their website, their Twitter, let their fans know what’s going on in their lives. So, it’s a lot of promotion and it’s just a lot of fun, too, honestly. I love asking questions and I’m real fucking talkative, as you can see. (Laughs) So, I’ll think I’ll be okay on that fucking red carpet!

I’ve never, ever hosted a red carpet before, but I did host the Urban X Awards in 2010 and that was a lot of fun. So, this will be a new thing for me, but I’m ready – absolutely. So, look forward to me hosting the red carpet at the Urban X Awards to whoever will be there.

Q: I have heard you referred to as “The Halle Berry of Porn.” How do you feel about that designation?

Like a superstar. Oh, my goodness. To be compared to someone so beautiful and so talented is amazing. She is my idol, the person I look up to the most, that I’ve learned a lot from. I’m not sure if she would like that, but yeah, she’s my idol. (Laughs) Yeah, I’ve learned a lot of tips and tricks of the trade from Miss Halle Berry, so it makes me feel like a superstar to be compare to her.

Q: You’ve obviously had a very successful career in adult, but are there any aspirations you look towards for the future?

I would like to direct and write softcore films, like Cinemax. That could totally be in the future for me. I’m totally a soft, sensual, beautiful-bodies-against-each-other type of person, so that would be the field I would push for. I’m not really much of a hardcore girl – although I do go hard.

Q: You mentioned the Cinemax channel and you have had frequent roles on a couple of their programs. Is that something you enjoy and are you interested in pursuing more mainstream type of work also?

Yes, absolutely. Like I said before, I would rather be doing softcore Cinemax films. I have a T.V. show on Cinemax that is airing now On Demand, which is Co-Ed Confidential, Season Four. I’m only in Season Four, so hopefully if that does well, I’ll come back for Season Five.

I also have done a lot of different characters and different looks in Zane’s Sex Chronicles, a really popular late-night Cinemax show. So, you can find me on there as well. But yes, I totally would rather do softcore; that’s where I would lean towards.

I’ve been on a few auditions for mainstream commercials and things. I haven’t landed anything yet, but I’m going to keep pushing and trying. This is going to be my money-maker over here and then one day I’m going to be a big star and you won’t see me anymore – “Oh, my goodness, she’s so far!” (Laughs)

Q: After being involved in the adult industry for quite a while and achieving success in it, is there maybe one general misconception about the business that you wish you could dispel?

Absolutely. The fact that they think we’re disgusting and nasty people, how we live our lives and such and such and so forth. Just these stereotypes that everyone has about us, I dread it. I want to get inside their heads and fix their brains to let them know we are people, too – we have hearts, we have regular lives, some of us know how to distinguish the two from work and play and we have two separate lives.

That’s not how we live our lives, that is what we do for a living. This is our profession, this is what we take seriously. Although it’s playful to see on T.V., to get off, to get a release, it is our profession and we take this very seriously. We get tested every month.

It’s changing now – a lot of people are knowing and going to get tested and knowing what’s going on with their bodies. But it’s still not there yet. And for them to judge us … who are people that know the ins and outs of everything about our bodies. We could probably tell you when we’re sick or what it is that we’re sick from or how it came about. People don’t really know their bodies like that, so for them to tell us how dirty we are and judge us in such a sense as to just be ignorant, it has baffled me. And I would love to get in their heads and change that.

Hopefully, one day, we could get a wonderful reality show going and the girls can change everybody’s mind. You know how reality shows go – they actually get to know the girls, they follow us around. And maybe society will change their minds about us.

But that’s about the only thing – which is the biggest thing.

Q: Absolutely. That’s a great idea. I think it would be terrific if somebody were to produce a program like that.

If someone were to pick it up, it would be awesome. But somebody has to pick it up.

Q: Yeah. May I ask a few questions about yourself as a person if that’s alright?

Sure.

Q: Great. Can you tell us where you were raised and how you would describe yourself growing up?

This is going to be a long story. Can we do regular questions? That is too much. Let’s do another question.

Q: Okay. How about interests and hobbies away from work?

I like to play basketball. I’m a serious couch potato, which is the total opposite of playing basketball. So, I’m athletic, but at the same time, I’m totally a couch potato.

I like to ride my bike, walk my little pit monkey-poo and just be very 420-friendly on that couch (Laughs) – whenever I’m not working, of course.

Q: What about favorites – favorite movie, T.V. show, musical artists and things like that?

My favorite movie would have to be Gone in 60 Seconds. My favorite funny movie would have to be Pootie Tang. I love that movie. (Musically) I’m into hip hop and rap.

Q: Is there one thing about yourself that you feel would surprise most people?

Let’s see … I masturbate standing up. Nobody knows that about me, I don’t think.

Q: Other than Men In Black, are there any other upcoming or current projects you would like to mention?

Adam & Eve – we did a movie called Naked, so that will be out soon. I’m not sure when, but I’m pretty sure they just finished sending in the editing or finished editing. So, that will be coming out for Adam & Eve.

I’m going to be working on a new feature in a couple of days with Wicked. I haven’t got the script yet, but another very nice project with Wicked is coming up, too, so I look forward to that. They love me over there. I love them back. (Laughs)

Q: They certainly appear to be a very classy and professional studio.

Yeah, they’re awesome.

Q: To finish up, is there anything you wish to say to readers?

I’d just like to say that I love you all and thanks for your support. And if you want to keep up with your lovely Misty Stone, you can go to my official website at MistyStone.com. I also have a fetish website for my fetish fans, ball-busting, that is MistyStone.info.
