At TonyBatman.com: Alana Evans Interviewed

At www.tonybatman.com – Our own Scottie Heartz interviews Adult Actress Superstar Alana Evans for the A Entertainment News. You will be surprised by some of her candid answers…

Q: Can you tell us a little about your background?

A: I was born on the Military Base Fort Campbell in Kentucky. I was mostly raised in San Jose, California. I’m a true Cali girl at heart. I married young the first time around due to the birth of my son. I was a swinger in an open relationship. I became a go go dancer before jumping right into porn.

Q: What was your job (if any) and for whom did you work before you ventured into the adult business?

A: I worked several normal jobs before porn. I was a hostess at a restaurant, worked sales in Women’s clothing stores, before taking a weekend job as a gogo dancer. I was also a co owner of a swingers club.

Q: Why did you choose the adult industry as a career path?

A: I have always been a very sexually open minded person. The adult business was the perfect place for me. Sex is fun and I’m a smart girl. I know how to handle the crazy side.

Q: How do your family and friends feel about the way you are making a living?

A: My family is very supportive of my life and my choices. I have always been a strong and independent person so my family knows I am safe and careful.

Q: What or who is your inspiration for your career choice?

A: I have had several women in the adult industry inspire me to be the performer I am today. Christy Canyon, Ginger Lynn, Debi Diamond, Alicia Rio, Tabitha Stevens, and SHANE of Shane’s World have truly been the largest influences on my career. To be able to now call most of these women my friends is an incredible honor.

Q: What sets you apart from others doing what you do in this business?

A: I am different because I am me! I have always had a fun and horny attitude! I am the very dirty girl next door. I spent the majority of my career with little boobies. I was always full of energy and took some pretty huge tools quite comfortably.

Q: Outside of the business how would you describe yourself and what do you like to do in your free time?

A: I am a true MILF. I spend a lot of my time volunteering, being a mom, and working to better my community. I know that sounds silly from an adult film star, but I love being an advocate for children, animals, and working towards the legalization of Marijuana. I’m kind of all over the place lol. I am a true hippy girl at heart.

Q: A lot of adult performers have and are participating in mainstream projects, do you feel this is helping shed some positive light on the adult industry?

A: I think making a leap into mainstream is difficult yet very rewarding. I have huge respect for Ginger Lynn, Sasha Grey, Stormy Daniels, Trina Michaels, and Jenna Jameson because its their acting ability or charm that helped them score roles in major films. I have zero respect for the girls who gained mainstream notoriety by selling gossip. I think it reflects poorly on our industry.

Q: Do you feel the government regulation of the adult industry is unfair and a violation of our First Amendment? If so in what ways do you feel it’s wrong?

A; I feel that at times, government regulation is good, yet also bad. I think our business needs to head in a safer direction with condom use etc. I think sometimes people in our industry get carried away and lose focus of what sexy truly is. I think we need to police ourselves so the government doesn’t have to.

Q: Much of society believes that being an adult entertainer is degrading to women. What would you say to these people?

A: I think that there are definitely people in our industry who degrade women. They know exactly who they are and thankfully, there are only a few. Fortunately, there are many companies that put women on a pedestal. Women are often treated with respect. You have to allow yourself to be degraded. There are definitely times where I have felt degraded, but as a woman and performer, you learn what you are comfortable with and you can make your own choices.

Q: Economically times are difficult, what kind of impact if any is that having in the adult industry?

A: Free porn is killing our business. I have been here for 13 years. I have watched the business flourish and decline over my career. The rates are back to what they were when I started. That shows me how bad porn is hurting. Many people I’ve known for years had to pack up return to their home states. It’s sad.

Q: What are you favorite charities and why?

A: My absolute favorite charities are PETA, Green Peace, Stand Up for Kids, LA Animal Rescue, and St. Judes Children’s Hospital. I am a huge animal lover and a major parent. Stand Up for Kids is an organization that feeds homeless children and teens, while often helping them to change their paths. LA Animal Rescue is very close to me. I have an amazing pit bull thanks to this rescue organization.

Q: What advice would you give to others that are thinking of entering the adult business?

A: I would tell others who want to get into the adult industry to start a website of their own and go the amateur route first, just to get comfortable. Other than that, do your research before working with a company or choosing an agent. Most importantly, never do anything that you aren’t comfortable with. At the end of the day, you are the only person you need to impress.
