from www.rumorfix.com – Aryana Star is considered the “Carribean Goddess of Porn,” but to Bill Cosby, she was a young child star in the 80s with potential.
Aryana came into this world as Jonell Green and at 12 years old, she was cast on the Cosby Show spinoff A Different World as Dashawn Curtis.
In an exclusive interview with RumorFix, she confesses, “I do think Bill Cosby would be disappointed in me, because he is for a majority of Black people to get higher education and things like that, you know.”
But the 33-year-0ld says it’s her right to do porn. “I mean everybody has their opinion at the end of the day and that’s all that it is — an opinion,” she says.
Aryana says her road to porn started when she was 18 and became “a sexual person.” Soon thereafter, she became an exotic dancer. And it wasn’t until ten years later that she made the leap into adult films.
She was attending the AVN Awards as a spectator and someone came up to her and said, “You’re beautiful. Have you ever thought about doing porn?”
Aryana says she always thought she could do better than the actresses who fake orgasms. “I love having people watch me,” she says. “I love being in the limelight, and I’m not scared to be freaky or naked. So I thought why not?”
Along the way, Aryana got a degree as a medical assistant, but she says, “It didn’t satisfy my pockets and it didn’t satisfy my sexuality.”
The Jamaican beauty says she’s proud for what she’s accomplished overcoming racism and politics in adult films. But, she admits she wouldn’t be doing porn if her acting career took off.
As a teenager, Jonell also had guest roles in Bebe’s Kids, Roc and Sister-Sister but A Different World was her big role. She was only on four or five episodes then the series was canceled. “I honestly believe if the show as still on the air. I would have had a recurring role . I know for a fact,” she says, “because the director told me.”
Would she have continued acting? “Of course,” she s says.”
Would she be doing porn today? “Probably not,” she adds.
