from www.lasvegasweekly.com – According to Adult Entertainment Expo spokesman Sean Devlin, 42 percent of the Adult Entertainment Expo’s attendance comes from the Consumer Electronics Show.
Walking the AEE show floor Thursday at the Sands Expo, it appears maybe 1 percent of the expo’s vendors come from CES — Iomega, maker of hard drives and network storage.
“We sell storage, and everybody needs storage,” Iomega PR manager Todd Schuelke said. “This is not a stretch for anybody. We’re in town, so we thought we’d attend.”
The company has a bigger booth with more demos at CES at the Las Vegas Convention Center, but its normal-sized spot between SexAppShop.com and Healthy Pleasures toy company still drew quite a bit of attention for a location with no skin showing on screens, display art or booth girls.
“Traffic is wonderful. There are a lot of people here,” said Schuelke, who added that he expected even more people to stop by during the next couple days when fans are allowed to attend.
“It’s a very interesting show,” the first-time attendee said.
