CHATSWORTH, CA — JASON SECHREST, host of one of KSEX.com’s longest running and highest rated shows, “The Young & the Curious,” is turning his old format in for something new, now live three nights a week on the station.
Debuting on Monday, July 9th, “The Jason Sechrest Show” will air Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays LIVE from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm (PT) and rebroadcast from 10:00 pm – Midnight. The live feed as well as a soon to be implemented “immediate archive” feature will be available to both members of KSEX and SECHREST’s straight and gay adult entertainment site, JasonCurious.com.
As in the past, SECHREST will continue to bridge the gap between the straight and gay adult communities, featuring shows more tailored for straight audiences on Monday nights, gay audiences on Wednesday nights and a mix of “anything goes” on Fridays.
This time, however, adult entertainment will only be one part of the SECHREST’s show format, as he promises to bring to the table everything from political debates to inner industry controversies with a wide variety of guests ranging from musicians and bloggers to astrologers and drag queens.
“Most shows, even sex-based talk shows, are incredibly well-rounded and feature a wide variety of topics and guests,” says SECHREST, who next year will have been working as a reporter in adult entertainment for a decade.
“Look, I’m 27, I’m growing up and I needed a new format to reflect that. My interests have changed. You can’t imagine how much I could care less about JENNA’s food intake or what is up LOCKWOOD’s ass today. I refuse to devote three nights a week of my life or your’s talking about it. There’s more going on in the world and there’s no reason why a show can’t be sexy and make you think at the same time. It’s going to be hot. Trust me, you’ll like having a little bread to go with all that butter some shows are force feeding.
“The idea that beauty and brains has to be divided is not one of the fantasies our industry needs to perpetuate and KSEX is the perfect format for breaking out of that box. This show will be sexy and it will feature pornography, but it will also tackle controversial topics, it will talk about the state of the world and it will attempt to find solutions. If someone wanted to just see porn, they would go to a porn site, not a sex talk show. KSEX.com offers something more than that and Lord knows JasonCurious.com always has.”
In addition to “The Jason Sechrest Show,” the host will put on his best JAMES LIPTON impression for a monthly special, “Inside Studio X,” chronicling the careers of adult’s most iconic individuals, a show that will also appear on pay-per-view. The monthly event will be a retrospective for the legends of adult entertainment, pre-taped featuring an extensive interview diving into the subject’s career and personal life while showing lengthy hardcore clips from their award-winning titles and, of course, a questionnaire at the end each show. GINGER LYNN, who changed the face of the industry by becoming the first ever “contract girl” and went on to star in mainstream movies and have her own E! True Hollywood Story, is slated as the show’s first guest.
