Ducati posts on www.pornstarperformance.com: We also had a problem with this makeup artist, Stephany Drotman. We tried her out once and had no problems although she was definitely in a hurry to get it done and get out to the next job. She did do an excellent job so we booked her again. Second time she TOTALLY flaked. Didn’t call or anything. We tried calling her for several days after with no luck and finally gave up on her.
Yesterday we had the fortune to meet a makeup artist named Nicole Bennett who is extremely talented with make up. She can be reached through Lauren Phoenix at the Lauren Phoenix Agency or at 858-405-5040
Meanbitches Glenn posts: I booked Stephanie (makeup artist) for a shoot today for Meanbitches.com. The original call time was 1:00PM. She said if I make it 12:30 she could do it. Stephanie, who is usually 15-20 minutes late, showed up at 12:45. The model (Jazmine) got lost and arrived at 1:10. When Jazmine arrived, Stephanie said she had to get to another shoot and left. I asked her how she could leave me with no makeup artist and she said the other shoot was more important than mine. Of course, Jazmine didn’t bring her own makeup because she had been told there was a makeup artist.
In a perfect world, you would schedule a shoot at 12:30 and everyone would arrive at 12:30. Unfortunately, our world rarely works that way. Being 40 minutes late is not that unusual for a model.
Stephanie is a great makeup artist and I have nothing negative to say about her makeup skills, but I think she books her jobs way too close to each other. Evidently, it’s OK for her to be late but not for the model. I didn’t have a backup plan in case my model was 40 minutes late and the makeup artist bailed… maybe that was my mistake. I will not be using her again. I will be sticking with girls like Ivy Sims and Cami Ellis who are a little more careful about double-booking.
