NYC-A lawyer who ran a high-priced Manhattan strip club was indicted Thursday on a string of charges.
Louis Posner, 52, allegedly promoted prostitution and laundered money at the Hot Lap Dance Club in midtown. He is accused of hiding club profits – $20,000 a night – by spreading them around 13 bank accounts opened in different names.
Posner’s wife, Betty, 57, was indicted only on charges of falsifying business records.
Authorities had earlier called Betty Posner a major player in the club, where undercover cops were propositioned for sex by curvy college girls and porn stars.
They now say she was rarely at the jiggle joint and didn’t know the dancers were doubling as hookers.
Both Posners, who were busted in July, remain free on bail.
Court documents say Louis Posner made more than $725,000 in just six months from the plush W. 38th St. club, where businessmen and high rollers vied for admission to a fifth-floor fantasy room.
Authorities say men paid up to $5,000 for sex with porn star Alexia Moore in private rooms – or less for trysts with sexy dancers.
The Manhattan district attorney’s office confirmed claims by dancers that Lou Posner agreed to waive the $100 nightly fee he levied on them if they would have sex with him.
Posner staged elaborate lesbian sex shows in an open lounge area, stroking the women’s hair and handing them sex toys as the shows progressed, two club dancers have said.
In an interview with the Daily News after his arrest, Posner denied his staffers were turning tricks.
Cops seized a total of $550,000 from the club and the Posners, along with cell phones and computers.
