Octomom Making Plenty Says Agent Gina Rodriguez; Gets $10K for an Interview

from www.nydailynews.com – “Octomom” has plenty of money to send her kids to private school, thank you very much.

In fact, Nadya Suleman has signed contracts for film and TV projects which will provide the 15-member family with a six-figure income this year alone, her manager, Gina Rodriguez, told the Daily News.

Reports surfaced this week that Suleman – who told a celebrity magazine in May she was nearly broke – had enrolled all 14 of her children, including her 2-year-old octuplets, in posh prep academies, despite a lack of cash.

Rodriguez, the Hollywood mega-manager known for “turning scandals into brands,” for celebs like Tila Tequila, Capri Anderson and Michael Lohan, took Suleman on right after that report surfaced.

“She had bad people taking advantage of her and she was broke,” Rodriguez claimed. “She can afford private school now — she’s making good money. I should know – I book all her gigs.”

The svelte and made-over 33-year-old single mom “brings in roughly $10,000-a-month just from doing interviews around the world,” Rodriguez said.

“She just filmed Celebridate, which will air on HDNet in October. She has the lead role in the horror movie ‘Millenium,’ which starts filming in September.

“She has been doing celebrity boxing and will continue that…I have her working hard, and she’s not slowing down any time soon.”

Anyway, Rodriguez told The News, not all of Suleman’s kids are in private schools.

“Her son Aiden is severely autistic, so he needs to attend private school for the special attention,” Rodriguez said.

“Her oldest son, Elijah, has never gone to private school; he’s in public school now, and always has been.

“The other four older kids are also in private school, but that’s because they get harassed. They’ve been harassed by press, and even by other parents.

“At the private school, the teachers and administrators are very discreet, and they love the kids.

Nadya feels they are safe there. And she wants them to get a good education.”

As for the octuplets, Rodriguez said, they were briefly enrolled in a private pre-school, but will homeschooled.

“What the octuplets were in was more like daycare,” Rodriguez said. “It was only for four hours a day.”

Suleman, who conceived all of her brood by in-vitro fertilization, and the children have been the target of public vitriol.

When the octuplets, only the second set to be born alive in U.S. history, were infants, someone threw an infant seat through her vehicle window.

Private school tuition in L.A. is apparently not at the sky-high levels as New York prep schools:

Suleman’s total monthly education bill is $3,500 a month – about a fifth what it could reach for five kids here.

Rodriguez said she finds the animosity against Suleman “very sad.”

“I have been to her home several times, and my daughter even babysits for her, and all the kids are healthy and happy.

“Now, she is earning. It may be off her notoriety, but this is what America created. It’s her opportunity to provide a good life for her family.”
