Skooby – a Cop Caller?

Porn Valley- Sometimes a talent agent named after a cartoon character is a talent agent named after a cartoon character. No more, no less. But a home owner named Kerv is of the impression that Skooby from Fresh Talent Management, is, well a cop caller. Which takes us back to the days of yore in porn when Ron Vogel generally assumed that responsibility and would call the authorities to bust porn sets. Porn sets that weren’t doing business with Vogel, that is. Kerv is saying Skooby’s calling the cops on him because of a deal gone bust. According to Kerv, the cops have come to his location now three days in a row and Skooby admits to calling them. Kerv says he put an ad in the paper offering his house as a movie location. “It wasn’t necessarily for porn,” he says. “I just wanted to have movies made in my house to make money. Skooby responded to my ad. He said that he’s efficient and knows everybody in the porn industry. He came to my house and said this house is so nice I can make this house $20,000 a month.”

According to Kerv, under Skooby’s advice, he spent an additional $8,000 to put things in the house that Skooby said he should have. “A month went by and all I made is $6,000,” says Kerv. At the same time there were questions of time overages that were coming into play, but according to Kerv, he dissolved his deal with Skooby. “I ended the relationship. I said, you know what? I don’t want to do business with you any more because you misled me.” Kerv said he then obtained a producers list and started making calls on his own to book his house. According to Kerv, Skooby apparently got pissed off. “He started telling people I’m shooting in my house and sent the cops here.” Then, according to Kerv, Jon Dough’s set was visited Sunday; and on Monday the cops came again while Anarchy was shooting. Kerv was told that the neighbors complained. Kerv claims that isn’t so because he already talked to his neighbors. “I discussed what I was doing and the neighbors told me they have no problems as long as everything’s kept inside.” Kerv claims when the cops visited today, the boss at Anarchy was contacted who supposedly contacted Skooby. “The boss asked him why he tried to fuck up the shoot. Skooby said, ‘I didn’t know it was you guys shooting today.’ ” Kirv claims he then talked to the owner of Anarchy and asked that he pay this guy [Skooby] off and let’s move on. “I’m going to try and work this out,” said Kerv. “I’m a businessman. I’ve left a message with Skooby and I’m waiting for him to call back. I’m going to ask him what do you want. I’m going to give him what he wants and then move on.”

> I hear that former Metro employee Keith O’Connor is starting his own porn company- with some financial backing, of course. O’Connor has started shooting movies. But the real interesting twist to the story is that O’Connor is bringing aboard former metro director Mike Adams. From what I hear, Adams will assume another name because the prevailing wisdom is that Adams was too closely associated with Metro movies that didn’t sell. In fact, it was O’Connor who brought Adams back to Metro after Joey Wilson had fired Adams. Then Wilson was fired. Adams apparently has promised O’Connor to make movies as good as Red Light or better, but under a different name which will be revealed when the press release comes out.

> The Drudge Report posts the following: PLAYGIRL editor-in-chief Michele Zipp has been stripped of her duties after she revealed how she voted Republican in the 2004 election. Zipp, in an e-mail, claims she was fired after an onslaught of liberal backlash.

“Hello Drudge, After your coverage of my article about coming out and voting Republican, I did receive many letters of support from fellow Republican voters, but it was not without repercussions. Criticism from the liberal left ensued. A few days after the onslaught of liberal backlash, I was released from my duties at Playgirl magazine.

“After underlings expressed their disinterest of working for an outed Republican editor, I have a strong suspicion that my position was no longer valued by Playgirl executives. I also received a phone call from a leading official from Playgirl magazine, in which he stated with a laugh, “I wouldn’t have hired you if I knew you were a Republican.

“I just wanted to let you know of the fear the liberal left has about a woman with power possessing Republican views.”
