Scotland- MYSTERY surrounds the identity of the A-list Hollywood celebrity who is said to have committed a lewd sex act in what must be one of the few above-board massage parlours in Scotland.
The star was having his tensions eased at an upmarket hotel spa after watching a pro-celebrity golf tournament at St Andrews.
The masseuse was attending to the knotted muscles of his neck and head when further down the fairway, she alleges, he whipped off his modesty towel and played an extra stroke or two. His grip was good, both on himself and the masseuse’s wrist, but his address to the ball was rushed and he was well above par without even holing out.
The masseuse complained to her employers at the Old Course hotel, was eventually dismissed and has now taken her case to an employment tribunal in Dundee.
“It was disgusting,” she told the hearing yesterday. “Even though he was a Hollywood superstar, I couldn’t believe he thought he could get away with something like that.”
The star was said to have been on holiday with his wife in the Fife seaside town to watch the Dunhill Links championship. He cannot be named for legal reasons, which will send the curious scurrying to the internet in the hope of tracking down a leak.
“He abused me and I considered that a criminal act,” the 34-year old masseuse told the hearing. She claimed to have been “mortified” by the actor’s behaviour.
“When I was giving his wife a massage afterwards, I wanted to tell her everything.
“During a previous massage he had touched my back. The following day he came back and asked how I was. He asked me if he had made me uncomfortable by touching me the day before, but I said no, I was a professional and you have to deal with difficult clients.”
The masseuse continued: “I asked him how he liked his massage and he said he liked it sweet. I thought it a strange term to describe a massage. He asked me if I was comfortable touching him everywhere and I said no. Throughout the massage he kept putting his hand underneath his towel but he never kept it there long enough for me to suspect anything.”
But then the towel came off, and the star, in the words of the masseuse, “performed a sex act to climax”.
She left the room, but said that a colleague entered the room and saw what had happened. The masseuse alleged that her complaints against the star had not been taken seriously enough by the hotel management, who allowed the celebrity another massage from an unsuspecting colleague the next day. She said that after the alleged incident in October 2004 the hotel had failed to provide her with proper counselling.
She was, however, sent on a course to learn how to deal with difficult clients. “It was pointless. It didn’t help me mentally. I had to deal with my trauma and it put a huge strain on my marriage.”
The masseuse claimed that after the incident, which happened just as new American owners were taking over the hotel, she was blamed for everything that went wrong in the spa area, including two small fires. She claimed that she was fired last August after returning from a holiday.
The hearing continues.
