Here’s the press announcement: Family, friends and fans of Jack Hammer are uniting to raise money to help with his battle against bladder cancer. Please show your support!
Jack was diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer four months ago.
He has a full time job that he is no longer able to work due to his condition. Jack’s inability to work during cancer treatment has left a stack of bills that need to be paid, and he has six more months of chemotherapy ahead of him.
Jack is an incredibly strong person who served in the Marines from 1985-1993 and was stationed in Beirut in ’89 and Kuwait in ’90 during Desert Storm. He is also a mixed martial artist who has been training and competing for years. Above all, Jack has great strength of character and has been an amazing friend to many. Among the fights he has won, we want to see him win out against cancer. He is 44 and we need to raise money to make sure he sees many more years and gets the healing process he deserves.
This not a cry for help, so much as it is a celebration for an amazing man, Marine veteran, father, and friend, who is fighting the fight of his life and could use the support of all of us. Thanks all of you for your donations, support, and prayers.

Here is the confusion: The Jack Hammer I know would be 48 years old, not 44.
From Wikipedia: Jack Hammer is the pseudonym of Jack David Rout [incorrect, his name is Troy Manwaring], born August 17, 1963, a pornographic actor.
He is a muscular man with blonde hair. [Not that I’m aware of. Hammer always had dark hair.] He wears many tattoos, including a cross,and a skull. He also has the word “WHITE” on his left triceps and “POWER” on his right triceps. Some see these tattoos as ironic because he often performs in interracial pornography. Though he mostly performs with women, he has also worked in transsexual pornography and bisexual pornography. He has appeared in over 300 titles.
Hammer began his pornographic career in the summer of 1995, after being paroled from prison after serving five years for armed robbery. From the old geneross.com archives: Jack Hammer was sentenced to a year in jail for making terrorist threats to Doomie Moore regarding an HBO documentary on the adult industry that Moore was producing. Hammer claims he was promised money for taking part and when it wasn’t forthcoming earlier this year, allegedly began a phone campaign that resulted in comments you might take the wrong way if you didn’t have a sense of humor.
Hammer should be out of lockup by the January 2001 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas. As an added thought, there might be consideration of a new AVN Award acknowledging most times in lockup for a male performer.
