As one deadbeat to another, Lizzie Grubman can tell Nicole London https://www.adultfyi.com/read.aspx?ID=7200 that justice finally prevails when you owe. Grubman, who maliciously ran over 16 people in a niteclub incident several years ago had to fork it over again…
New York- She called him “white trash” and ran him down with her Mercedes-Benz SUV, then said she would never give him a penny.
But Lizzie Grubman will indeed pay a hefty fee to bouncer Scott Conlon, sources said yesterday.
The publicity princess, who four summers ago backed into 16 patrons outside the Conscience Point Inn in Southampton, has settled her lawsuit with Conlon – her 15th legal settlement stemming from the incident.
“Mr. Conlon received a very substantial settlement that he is thrilled with,” Conlon’s Bay Shore lawyer, Andrew Siben, said. “The Grubman family insisted that the amount not be disclosed.”
Siben was ticked about a report that said Grubman – who spent a month in jail for her role in the July 2001 wreck – got off cheap and had to pay Conlon only thousands. The settlement last week was approved by Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Milton Tingling.
“Miss Grubman is all about the spin,” Siben said. “But the real facts are … she took a plea resulting in a felony conviction with time served in jail, and 16 people were seriously injured by her reckless conduct.
“The Grubman family vowed from day one that they would never pay a penny to Mr. Conlon, but they paid a real premium to settle this case,” Siben added.
Grubman, reached at her public relations firm, referred all questions to her attorney, John McDonough.
He said, “We are precluded from saying anything about the settlement as a result of the confidentiality agreement.”
Conlon, who hurt his back and knee and now works as a school gym teacher in Suffolk County, may not be the last victim to score a settlement with Grubman, who has paid millions to hush her victims. Sara Thorne, former associate producer of Hamptons magazine, is still suing the public relations whiz for $10 million.
McDonough said that case may go to trial.
Part of the holdup in Grubman’s case with Conlon, sources said, was that Grubman demanded Conlon withdraw an allegation that Grubman said, “F— you, you white trash” to Conlon before hopping in her car and backing into the nightclub crowd.
