Update: Hot to Trot Teach Gets 8 Months For Teaching Student 1+1=69

from www.nwcn.com – A Kentlake High School math teacher who pleaded guilty to having sex with a student was sentenced Friday to eight months in jail, the Seattle P.I. reports.

King County prosecutors alleged Barbara Jeanne Anderson, 37, became a confidant for the 17-year-old boy and the two started having sex.

Court documents indicate the sexual relationship began around February after the teen, who was contemplating suicide, turned to Anderson for help.

The boy’s mother became suspicious of their relationship and allegedly discovered that the two had traded hundreds of text messages. The mother later found out from another family member about the sexual relationship.

Anderson will be required to register as a sex offender.
